    I know its a pain but check vac-power steering pump the drive coupler sometimes wears and gets loose enough to rattle , use your tube.

    Make shure you use a new LOCK WASHER with the cut teath twords gear utherwise the washer will spread open and or break and drop into geartrain,THIS COULD BE VERY BAD!!

    Sounds like the dealers blowing smoke up your s-- its under warrenty tell them just to fix it then find a new dealer for service. I worked for zone 74 in denver for 10 years , cummins before that,most dodge tecks arent that familer with the eng internaly!! all they due under warrenty is replace...
