Thanks for the input Jim. I'm well aware of the head gasket problems. If you don't mind me sending you a pm, I think I have come up with a final setup, where I don't have to worry about the head gasket.
Thanks
I'm looking for max parameters of Boost on the VGT Turbo. I posted on the 4th gen, since I have an 11', but don't think too many are running anything but stock. Can anyone give me an idea of a
Max Boost for the VGT without destroying it. I appreciate any info/experience anyone may have.
Thanks
I would like to get some input on the VGT Turbo. What amount of boost CTD owners are producing, with and without a programmer. I appreciate any response.
Thanks
Sir, I'm by no means calling you a liar. We've just never heard of pre 2013 model year using DEF, other than the 2011 CC. Like I said, this thread is getting interesting.
Finally, I purchased a Genuine Cummins water pump, it came in a Cummins Box and has Concentric stamped into it. Pump has the composite impeller. I guess that's what we get from now on. Thanks for steering me straight on Cummins OEM pumps, for the price I paid , I was expecting maybe something...
No Sir, I think I got #%@^%& on the Internet sale. At least I can admit it. I tried contacting them but no answer. I can Rate them on Ebay and that's about it.
Scott, your contact didn't recognize Cummins OE part#2881804? Neither yourself or Mr. Wilson posted pictures that look like the pump I have. My pump does not have" concentric " stamped on the housing. I'm doing some major work on my truck at the moment and the last thing I want is the water...
Thanks to everyone for chiming in on my pump question. Still, I have to make the decision on which pump to use today. I need to drop by the dealer for some antifreeze(I'm switching my truck from the orange to the green coolant, after a thorough flush) I am going to look at the OEM water pump...
I agree Bob. Bob, would you recommend pulling the pump and checking it out while the coolant is out or could that possibly cause the seal to leak?? I think I'll keep the original in and hold on to the "new" for whenever it decides to fail.
Now you're thinking like an Engineer, have to keep the part intact during shipping, so that it can fail in the application and cause more damage! Engineering 101 on how to keep your job. Honestly as long as the flow rate is close to the same, I prefer to see the impeller fins with the ring...
Well obviously whatever material the impeller is made of, it's subject to breaking the impeller during shipping. That's not acceptable! Still my question remains. Why does the pump impeller on my original post look different than most others I've seen? Is this their latest, greatest or a knock...
