I just got the same code on my 2014 ram Cummins at 23,800 miles. I had a software update done at about 20,000 miles. I will see what the dealership has to say about it and report back.
mine is the ve pump. my turbo is lower than the head. I will try to post a picture of it if I can figure out how to do it. it's too bad they didn't elongate the bolt holes on the ex manifold to at least allow for some shrinkage instead of bending bolts and breaking off the bolt ears on the head...
thanks for the valuble info. wow. 160hp sounds anemic for that much weight. yes on engine mods. PO had a Banks Powerpack installed and from what I can tell consist of a "twin ram" intake, boost and EGT gauges, and probably something to crank up the fuel supply and turbo boost. does anyone make...
has anyone had this problem? my 1st generation 5.9 cummins in my motorhome I just bought has #5 and #6 exhaust manifold bolt ears broken away from the head from what I assume to be caused by exhaust manifold shrinkage. and is there a fix other than a different head? has anyone had success having...
someone please correct me if i'm wrong. but isn't the winter radiator shield a waste of time since the thermostat slows radiator coolant flow to a crawl anyway when the coolant temp gets too low?
i now have 8200 miles on my 2014 crew cab long bed 4x4 cummins tradesman with leer tall camper shell. the only problems so far being the one's the dealer doesn't acknowledge as being real problems; ****ty shifting 68rfe and e-brake that works only when it feels like it. other than that, i love...
I agree with jacknife. I remember when the parts stores and oil and lube places first started the propaganda campaign on the 3000 mile oil changes. What was their motivation? $$$$$$$$$ my 07 ram 1500 hemi got synthetic oil every 25000 miles. I traded it on my 2014 ram 2500 ctd. The hemi had...
i really appreciate your reply and sharing your experience with it. i had an edge programmer on my '05 dodge ctd and the instructions that came with it said not to let egt get above 1200 deg. and since i had a k&n filter and a 5" turbo-back exhaust on mine it never did. of course it didn't have...
how is the edge juice working out for you? did you get your pyrometer installed? what kind of temps are you seeing? would you recommend the edge set up or do you regret doing it?
is anyone running the edge juice with attitude in their 2014 truck? if so, how is it working out? any c.e.l. or other problems with it? what about egt and fuel milage?
on mine i'm guessing by the way it shifts that in the higher gears the torque converter unlocks then it upshifts then the tc s-l-o-w-l-y slips back into lockup. then it repeats this long drawn out process for the next upshift. and going up hills in 3rd or 4th gear if i let off it will...
