i want to know the same thing... i wouldn't think so since it is a fuel thing with the ez but you never know. MAybe someone who is closer with EDGE can answer this one?????
thanks... are the frame mountings the same on the 2500 and 3500. Do you have and pics or this spring actuator and overload to show the differences
Thanks
stiffer rear
My 5ver has a hitch weight of 3075 lbs. and it seems to squat the rear somewhat. The ride is fine and no sway to note but it just doesn't look good to me. I don't want to change to a dually setting... . only single rear wheel, just more springs.
Can you take a 3500 rear suspension and bolt up on a 2500? If so what are the changes in doing so? I don't mind the stiffer ride just need more load capacity.
Update:Truck 101
Okay,
Got the truck back... seems the fan clutch quit and decided to stay engaged. thus causeing the engine to direct its power to it solely. So they replaced it and problem solved. I did however disconnect the Edge EZ box before dropping the truck off. After picking it up...
latest word from dealer is that when the fan clutch locks up the engine itself has to pull that big heavy fan alone. Once it gets momentum going it is fine but when you shift you lose the momentum and thus power is lost. Very hard for me to beleive but we'll see after they replace it I guess
yes i took the EZ off and done the same thing. each gear runs good after it gets up t speed but seems to take forever and then when you shift up its back to low power and it has to creep back to speed... also when you let off the pedal it still wants to accelerate of a sec.
I was towing my 5er back from Charlotte NC (4 hour trip). I pulled of at an exit and when i started to turn left at the end of the ramp I noticed that 1st gear had way to much power. I thought i had dropped the clutch a little early but then 2nd seem the same way. So i pulled to the pump, filled...
Follow Up on RV
Okay camper pulls great and stops fine. It actually pulls bests between 60 and 70mph. I have a B&W system on the truck and the RV dealer suggests airbags. Does anyone know where to get some that will bolt on with the B&W mounting? Also noticed that I get another 1 1/2 to 2 mpg...
I am so tired of people doubting the power and performance of our trucks. So give me some help on this one guys. I am in the process of getting a new fifth wheel it has a dry weight of 10,715 pounds. I have an 03 2500 6sp. w/EZ tuner. The people I work with say it won't pull it? Who's wrong? I...
i was looking for one myself and found it the other day. . think it was hitch depot. i saved it to my favorites at work so if you are on tomorrow... i can get it for you... i think it was like 20K or something for the 5er attachment.
I have been watching mine lately and am pleased so far. The overhead shows 21. 4 but most of that was interstate driving at around 65 to 70. But in town I tend to get about 20 anyway. Hopefully the Edge tuner is doing it's job and I don't have a faulty overhead monitor. Scared to do the math due...
LATEST UPDATE... .
Finally got the gauges installed and they look great. I didn't have time to get a third gauge yet so they went ahead an just "dummyed" the trans temp until I get one. The install looks clean and neat. So now I am wondering if I should get Fuel PSI or Oil Temp for the third...
but the probe seems to be too long and will be touching the bottom of the manifold wall. If the bushing is not used... A picture would be most helpful, Also the instructions say it is to be mounted 1-2 inches from the turbo exaust outlet?
