I took my 94 in for hard starting(you have to push the prime pump to make it start then everything is ok. After $550 in diagonsis fees they say it needs a new injection pump. Why does it run ok after pushing the prime on the transfer pump but the problem is as serious as an injection Pump?

I had the same problem in a 94. I found that the water in fuel detector was damaged. Try opening the bleeder valve and push the prime button a couple of times. I my case I noticed fuel leaking out of the bottom (only when the bleeder valve was open). I believe that under heavy demand this could...
