    B&W Companion - short bed 2500 Help

I had a 96 3/4 gasser short bed and a 98 QC SWB w/Cummins that towed a square front trailer. I had a tight spot to get into at our campground but accomplished the feat without issue. I just paid close attention to what was happening with clearance. Your mileage may vary.

    RV Parts?

All of these guys are very experienced and made the right choice in replacing the furnace. What isn't really said here is this; a gas furnace with a damaged combustion chamber will cause incomplete combustion, amongst other things, resulting in a release of carbon monoxide which is a toxin. It...

    Maintenance of Rubber RV Roofs

Petroleum based products are a solvent and can very well speed deterioration of your roof. As HBarlow has suggested, mild dish soap or car wash soap is the stuff ya need!

Good info here for sure! I'll pass on another valuable link for you THE ACCURATE RELOADING. COM FORUMS there is a ton of information on this site and it has been around for a long while. One of the engineers I used to work with is a mod on that site and is good for info on large bore pistols...

i want to learn to weld...

This is how it worked in AZ, may be different in other states. I had to take the trailer and all of my receipts for materials down to the DMV. They inspected the trailer to make sure it had all of the required lighting etc. on it. Paid my fees, it's a permanent tag in AZ, and was issued a...

i want to learn to weld...

Thanks Greg, you can bet I'm proud of this trailer! I probably paid more for material than I could have bought it for, but certain touches you don't get with a production unit. All of my wiring is in rigid conduit with the splices in raintight boxes, simple to work on and well protected...

i want to learn to weld...

Framed out with headache rack and then with most of the deck on it. This turned out better than I thought I could do and pulls like a champ!

i want to learn to weld...

Here is a series of pics of the flatbed trailer I built with my Thermal Arc welder. This was a great welding unit, but I will say that the electronics on the controls weren't so good. The engine idle control went out on the control board and they wanted $700 bucks for a new board, a simple...

i want to learn to weld...

Wow, I read 20 pages of this thread and all I can really say is "thanks" to the pro's for sharing their knowledge. I've welded, almost exclusively stick, since I was in high school, you know, shop class. Practical application came from repair work around the ranch as a kid. I ended up working as...

    Alaska bound questions

I've made the trip 3 times now, twice going up through the panhandle of Idaho and then through 3 of Canada's National Parks; Kootenay, Banff and Jasper. Banff was 45 degrees mid day both times! Just make sure you have some time to spare as I didn't. I drove from Sandpoint, Idaho to Jasper...

    Better RV Brands?

I had the Honda 3k for years, but it was 149lbs dry. The ex wasn't even going to be considered for help when I needed to load it! I sold it and bought the Honda 2k and will buy a second one soon with the synchro kit. Make sure you study up on these inverter units, though they are marketed at...

    Gooseneck hitch

$400 is a fair price for a gooseneck hitch, not sure what you would expect for less. Certainly nothing of quality. As others have said, stick with the B&W, it's money well spent.

Looking for a Arizona service dealer

I'm sure you've found out by now, if you don't like the dealer in Sierra Vista, you're pretty much stuck with going to Tucson. But hey, it's only about an hour's drive and if you go up through Sonoita, it's kind of pretty too.

    Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) '99 died, help!

Yes, there is fuel in the tank. No codes were thrown. I'm having him do the fuel pump tests this afternoon when he gets home from work.

    Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) '99 died, help!

A friend of mine has a '99 SLT 3500 4x4 that died this morning. He went out to start it to let it warm up (11 degrees here) and said that it started running rough and then died. He got it started one more time and it ran about 30 seconds and died again. He's drained the water separator to no...
