Are you shure it the o-ring, did you check the lines going in the sending unit. They have a tendency to corode .

I'm doing a crew cab conversion on a 96 ext. long box. All I've done so far is removed the 8ft box and installed a 6 ft box and cut the back of the cab off, only problem I'm having so far is the hump on the tank. it originaly was under the box but by bringing the cab further back its now going...

I checked all the fuel capacity specs from year 95 throught 2002 and year 95-96 have a 35 gal. tank for LB and SB. 1997 has 26 gal. tank for SB, 35 gal. tank for LB. 1998-2002 has 34 gal. tank for SB and 35 gal. tank for LB.
