Bought part# 3990105 lift pump from Cummins. Curious about #3990082 mentioned in TDR issue 37, page 48 in the 24 valve engine section. Has this pump been superseded by bigger number. My new pump has a date of 7Nov,2002 on package. Anyway, I now must install the pump. Can some of you old hands...

TDR issue 37, page 48, under 24V engines lists the latest new ( ?) part number for lift pump replacement. Gives both D/C & Cummins numbers. Does anyone have feedback on this pump yet?

Update on my post regarding E-brake and turbo failure. After the Cummins facility had kept me from my truck, they said it was fixed today. They found the exhaust header blowing-by when back pressure was applied by E-brake. Apparently, they cleaned and replaced gasket and bolts and the noise went...
