I have my 1st diesel a 2005 Dodge 3500 with a 48re auto which I pull a 14,500 lb. 5th wheel. I have been thinking about changing the transmission fluid to synthetic. Have any of you done that? Are there any adverse effects to worry about? Good idea or bad idea?
Put a decent rear suspension under it. Got my first Dodge in 2005 and have never had a truck with such weak rear springs. Buy a ton truck and then have to get after market overloads to pull your 5th wheel that you pulled with brand X 3/4 ton with no overloads, very disappointing.
I have a 2005 Dodge 3500 SRW pulling a 5th wheel with 2500 lbs of hitch weight. Trailer sets the truck down quite a bit so I installed a set of Timbrens, they hold the truck up fine, but seems to transfer a rough ride back to the trailer. Is there a better option like air bags to use in place of...
