    I have a corrosion problem with the positive battery lead going to the starter. If I pull up hard on the cable it gets enough contact to energize the starter.     Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) At what mileage has your VP 44 died

    Mine died after 10 years and 150k miles. Chrysler has TSB advising to move the lift pump from the engine to the tank. Dealer did that when they replaced the VP44. Contacted Chrysler and they replied no warranty coverage. Now getting close to 300k miles.
