    12 Volt Compressor

Thanks for all of the input. I am looking into using the compressor on the PacBrake but the regulator may be a problem. I'd like to use that since I want to keep my weight down as much as possible. I'll check into the Craftsman and Campbell Hausfeld compressors also.

    12 Volt Compressor

Looking for a portable air compressor capable of inflating my fiver's tires to 110psi. I looked at the QuickAir series but they only seem to go to 105psi. That may be enough but I'd like to keep the tires inflated to their correct pressure. I'm looking for something that will do the job without...

    PaqcBrake Installed

kprice The biggest advantage of the exhaust brake is that it saves wear and tear on your truck and trailer service brakes but it is not a substitute for them. Dodge strongly suggests the installation of an exhaust brake if you are going to be pulling any trailer over 10,000 pounds...

    PaqcBrake Installed

Bill, I have the 6-peed manual transmission. I haven't driven anything but a stick shift since '89 so I feel right at home in the truck. Yes, the HitchHiker is a heavy trailer but the wife and I drove over to the local CAT scales and had it weighed with full propane tanks, all of our...

    PaqcBrake Installed

Installed the PacBrake today. Took me about four hours in the driveway -- no hoist available. Hardest part was tightening the 5/16" screw at the bottom of the compressor. PacBrake has done an outstanding job with this exhaust brake. Everything fit perfectly! It helps to loosen the first exhaust...

    pullrite 20.5k super hitch

I installed the 20. 5K SuperHitch several weeks ago. I had very little problem with the install. Measure carefully and drill 1/16" pilot holes to insure proper line up of the bed rails with the brackets underneath the bed of the truck. The entire operation took me about five hours but that was...

    electric brake/7-pin wiring help needed

Thanks nanpaul. I guess I could have gone to 8 gauge but I used 10 gauge instead. I was pretty sure that the 14 gauge run to the rear of the truck would be unable to handle it. I did install a circuit breaker in the circuit as I tied the wire directly onto the battery.

    electric brake/7-pin wiring help needed

Makes a lot of sense TowPro. I'll consider doing that as time permits.

    electric brake/7-pin wiring help needed

Thanks TowPro. Hopefully someone has had some experience with the 14 gauge wire. I'll keep my eye on it and if it looks like it's heating up I'll run some heavier wire. It just seems strange that Dodge would use wire in the harness that couldn't handle the load. What's the advantage to...

    electric brake/7-pin wiring help needed

Hope all you good people in the TDR can help me out. Having never towed a fifth wheel before, I am in the process of hooking up my Jordan brake and seven pin connector. My question concerns the gauge of wire that supplies the +12 volts to the 7-pin trailer connector and whether there is a...

    PullRite 5th Wheel Hitch

I talked to Linda at PullRite yesterday. The bedrail and bracket kit for the 3500 dualie 2WD is ready. I ordered one today. Cost is about twice that of a regular bedrail kit but there is no welding or drilling required for installation. Part number is 0828. Gary
