I had the same problem and had to have the speedometer/odometer rebuilt. Cost was $139. 00.
My problem now is the electric printed circuit board that the instrument panel (including speedometer) "plugs" into has gone out and these are discontinued parts. Hopefully that will not be the next...
Need some advice/help. I was attempting to charge my A/C with Freeze 12 but when trying to fill they system only 1 can would go in. Any ideas - expansion valve stuck, etc. ? At the time I did have a good vaccum on the system.
Second question is does anyone know where to get a printed circuit...
Had a complete rebuilt done for $1250 - transmission shop used parts from Standard Transmissions http://www.standardtransmission.com/. I had waited too long could have been about $400 less.
Sorry for not replying sooner - have been out of town. The rebuilder filled with 30w (still going to add the 1 qt. overfill) - I contacted Std Transmission to verify this was correct and that is what they recommended also. I have a 1yr/20,000 warranty with the rebuild so time will tell.
