How do i fix it? Is the governor shaft just something i can replace or do i gotta take the pump off? How do i troubleshoot to find out if that's definitely what it is?
No as far as i know its stock. I haven't asked anyone on here about turning it up yet because of diesel prices going up. Does it hurt anything to drive it this way?
3300$??? I'm in the wrong business. I'm more of a Fab it up myself kinda Guy. I think ifthe back of my truck weren't so tied up I'd consider that but I've got stacks behind the cab then behind them I've got my diamond plate toolbox with an auxiliary fuel tank taking up up all space under box...
Driving my 93 tonight n got off the freeway n the idle was up way high prolly 1200 Rpms or so as i was downshifting. Rolled up to the light and after a min it would kick down to normal. Stopped n restarted didn't help. All wires n linkage looks normal. Just had injection pump completely rebuilt...
Ok call me crazy but i wanna throw something out there. I was thinking of fabricating a non- obtrusive mount for a winch on my truck without spending a bunch of money. . i have a two wheel drive n i know its not as common but if anyone has any ideas that wouldnt look corny or a link or something...
Well the ABS and brake are on in the dash n at the same time they went on the Fritz so did my fuel gauge. Wondering if its related. I live in AZ so the ABS really isn't that important to me. But the fuel guage is lol. Well i unplugged it n the lights went out n truck seems fine. Also can't fill...
I've read here and there that the ABS on our trucks sucks. I've also read that if u can't get the ABS and brake lights to go off in dash that u could go behind the glove box n unplug the module. Is that true? Is there anything else going on in that module seems like a lot of wires going in...
K so all the fusible links are good. At least there's voltage on both sides. So anybody what to look for next in a fuel gauge that works sometimes and sometimes doesn't? Also i can't fill fill my tank more than half full lately it bubbles out. I've heard of a clogged vent? Fuel gauge is a real...
K as soon as it stops raining I'm going to change another fusible link n see if something else miraculous happens. The one day i wanna work on my my truck it rains. It only rains 5 days a year in AZ but its raining today. Lol
Ok so i dunno whether to feel stupid or not. I replaced a fusible link that felt spungy a white one 22 GA. As soon as i replaced it i tried the wipers motor was whirring wipers not moving. The plastic piece holding the wiper linkage together to the motor snapped off. But before i heard nothing...
Thanku for the tip. Ill check the website. Yeah I've never thought of going the junkyard route but there definitely is lots good clean parts in the desert. Although fiberglass i can get anywhere. Ill check the web first.
I checked all the grounds i could find. Thought it was the headlight switch but i replaced it and nothing ... so i checked power on the dash lights wire and no powered in or out. With all the other crap not working i looked at the fusible links n some look bad. Real flimsy n some like wire feels...
Anyone know which color fusible links go to what on the drivers side inner fender by three relays( i think which go to grid heater???) I'm frustrated with a fue
l gauge that works intermittently mostly not. Windshield wipers quit. ABS n brake light on. Dash lights quit. Frustrating
