Well I got my FASS system on and ended up keeping the stock filter downstream of the FASS filters, I upsized the line from the filter to the new VP44 that I installed, I just finished my Autometer pyrometer (pre-turbo) and Autometer fuel guage on a new pillar mount. Now I need to find out how to...
Well I installed it and it works fine, pre-turbo. It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be, the drilling and tapping was real slow because I wanted to make sure I got all of the metal particles out of the exhaust. Thanks for the input!
I am in the process of installing a pyro and have read many threads on this. It seems that you get a more accurate reading if you mount the EGT pre-turbo yet some have reported cracked exhaust manifolds. So how many of you pre-turbo guys have had a cracked exhaust manifold since you did that...
I posted 80,000 plus but I actually don't know because my VP44 died at 94000 and the shop said that my lift pump was dead too, I suspect it could of died around 80000. Of course a guy would never know for sure BECAUSE DODGE FORGOT TO PUT A FUEL PRESSURE DUMMY LIGHT IN THE...
I want to keep the stock heater and may as well keep the water sensor, not that I really need it. I am ordering it from a shop close to where I live called Idaho Diesel Technology. Don't know what the price is exactly, somewhere around $1500.
The fuel pressure concern is something I was...
I have a 1999 and my VP44 & lift pump died. I am installing a FASS system and new VP44 and I have a couple of questions for those of you that have been through this:
1. I have been advised that I can run my supply line from my FASS to my VP44 through my stock filter/heater assembly. If I do...
I have read so many things on the FASS & Air Dog now that I am confused as to what to do. It seems like the FASS is a great system but many of the people using it are reporting hard starting problems related to air and it appears that maybe that is due to restrictions in the fuel tank module...
You mean keeping the stock lift pump and adding the FASS pump back by the tank? That might work just fine. Another thing I am looking into is the fuel tank module, I guess this is another place for restriction/problems. I am still not sold that the FASS is the way to go, have you read anything...
thanks for all the information
I have done quite a bit of research now and I think I am going to go with the filterless FASS as I am a bit concerned with cold weather. In addition to the FASS, I am going to increase my fuel line fittings with a kit from RIP. I wish I could afford the RASP but I...
I have a 99 and the lift pump killed my injector pump. Yeah I'm ****** but I will get over it, I just need to get this thing going again. I have an Edge EZ box on it but the rest is stock. I am happy with the performance so I don't anticipate anymore performance upgrades. My question is this: Do...
