Archived Fast Idle after fuel filter change
Fixed. I turned the ignition to the on position (without disconnecting batteries,) pressed accelerator slowly to floor and then released slowly. Idle speed back to 750-800, problem fixed. A friend told me this resets the electronic accelerator setting. Thanks, Dennis- whal

Archived Fast Idle after fuel filter change
Yesterday I changed the fuel filter in my '99. I turned the starter over for about 30 secs. to prime; didn't start, so I took the filter element in the can out and filled to top with fuel. This time it started in about 5 seconds, but accelerated to 1800 rpm. It continues to idle at about 1800...- whal
