Hello All,
I just recently rolled 67,500 miles on my 2008 and as expected the "Perform Service" message popped up on the overhead display. I am prepared to replace the CCV filter, clean the EGR valve, and clean the EGR cooler. However, I have been wondering is it really necessary to clean the...
sag2 - yep. I think that's what happened. I drove the truck around yesterday for a bit then shut it off and reconnected amp clamp meter as described in my last post. Sure enough, the fluctuations in amperage draw on the batteries have stopped. It'll no doubt start in again. I'll check it tonight...
Thanks. for the info! I'll check into this. The diagram you provided is helpful. I'm not sure what all of the designations mean however. I presume to unplug the cluster harness I'd remove connectors C219, C220. Or perhaps C200 and C308? Hopefully I can get to all of these by just removing the...

My truck recently started pulling the batteries down to 11.5 volts after 4 days of sitting parked. Tried new batteries but didn't solve the problem
After unplugging the underhood light, alternator wire, trailer brake controller, and closing doors (unlocked, alarm...
Update to what I said previously in this thread I had to order two new front wheels because the el-cheapo clear coat that Vison uses on their machine finish "type 81 heavy hauler" wheels was failing. After 10,000 miles of summer use only. Disappointing to say the least.
Anyhow, the wheels with...
That's fantastic. But the OP of this thread said that his truck would not be his daily driver. This thread was about what is the best fit for him, not you.
Hey All,
I screwed up the tailgate on my 2008 dually and would like to buy a new one. On Ebay and Amazon I see a company called MBI Auto sells pre-painted aftermarket tailgates. You give them your paint code and they ship it to your door ready to go supposedly. They are apparently a direct fit...
Yeah, they are a dually thing. Because the wheels are lug centered, there is no way to center the inner wheels on the duals. So they provide a black nylon centering ring that slips over the axle/hub, then the wheel slips over it. Makes it hub centered so to speak. The outer rear wheels and front...
I'm running 19.5" Vision wheels on my 2008 dually. No issues with the lug centered wheels, even with heavy payloads on really rough roads. I run the Vision supplied black nylon centering rings on the inner rear wheels of course.
2008 Ram 3500 Laramie 4x4 Dually 6.7 with G56.
Howdy.
What is the recommended method for flushing the power steering system? The factory installed ATF is pretty dark and gross, and ready to be flushed out.
For my 2002 F350 7.3 there was a method where you could continuously add new fluid to...
