Dogpatch, Are you sure that trailer is chocked???? Sure thought I saw it move.

I noticed that one was running the winter cover, I assume to increase the coolant and oil temp. A winter cover came with my 15 truck, so when do I install it? I have owned 3500s since 94 and never used a cover, but understand these new models are to run hotter.

Would one of those little grease guns used to grease the roller at the end of a chainsaw bar work? Just place the tip over the hole and push the other end (like the syringe).

Mine runs around 200-215 degrees.

I always have my truck serviced at the dealer, but since some techs do not know or can not find the fitting, I will have a discussion with him after reading this thread. I do not feel the need to worry as my front shaft does not turn. Thanks fellows for a very informative piece.

Gooseneck was included in my factory prep. that is the fifth hole ( in center).
