Unlocked Smarty SSR 03-07 and VIN locked UDC Main Dongle. You would need a VIN dongle to get started self-tuning, or if you plan on someone else tuning for you. I think most tuners include the VIN dongle in their pricing. $500 shipped.
I don't recall where I read it, but someone suggested while the clutch is depressed to shift to 4th, and then to 2nd. For reverse, try 5th, and then reverse. I started doing this and it made shifting from a standstill MUCH easier.
