Living on the wet side of Washington State we will get some days of summer in the 90's and an occasional day or two into the 100 deg F. territory, but nothing like you get in Texas. I was there a couple years ago, end of June-early July, when the African dust cloud hit Texas. The heat was bad...
I believe that you are right.
I bought the truck in 2020 with less than 30,000 miles and I seem to be averaging 5,000 mile a year now, which is pretty good considering I'm retired and have 2 trucks and 2 cars for my wife and I.
3 - 4 years does seem to be the new normal for batteries now and it is getting harder to find 3 year free battery replacement. I was going to buy my new batteries at Costco until I discovered they are now prorated only with no free period.
Walmart worked out to be the best deal for me with 36...

I have no pictures of the inside of the gear box.
The reason I stopped removing parts is that it appears that at least a portion of the rear cover is attached to the aluminum gear...
Yesterday I opened up the mirror. The mirror glass turned out to be very easy to remove with a medium size flat tip screwdriver. There are 12 tabs on the back of the glass that snap onto a hub on the tow mirror assembly. To remove the glass you insert the screw driver between the tow mirror...
Thank you for your help and information.
I will take another look on Amazon. I checked a few weeks ago, but the only Trail Ridge I could find were manual folding and not power fold.
I have seen another brand with power fold, but since I had such good luck with no vibration and being trouble...
Gruvenparts responded to my email this morning and was wondering if I had any pictures of the motor.
I'm Hoping that Ozymandias might have some pictures of the inside of his mirror from when he opened up his mirror.
I hope that Trail Ridge just made a 3rd Gen to 4th Gen adapter arm and then...
