  • there's no question as to whose brake i will be installing. I need to find out more about my truck first. of course pipe diameter but I have no idea regarding other notations ex. air on board . I have not even opened the hood since it got here but will tomorrow
Hi - last weekend I installed my PacBrake Air Bags - love them. One thing though - I think the kit should include two exhaust heat shields not just one - the pipe goes up one side of the r/s airbag and down the other - how can we get a second one? I love the airbag and what it has done for the truck, but want to do my best to protect the investment.

Also - I notice the max air pressure is 100psi - shoudl air be added to the system after hooking to the trailer - makes sense to me because the weight will add increased pressures, right? Don't want to void my warranty either...

    Thank you,
    Don
    Bill,
I finally got the replacement compressor you send me installed. However, I am not able to get the exhaust brake to activate. All the electrical stuff checks out and the compressor is doing its job. However, when the solenoid activates, instead of operating the brake cylinder, air blows out of the hole in the bottom of the solenoid. If I plug the hole with my finger, the cylinder activates. Is air suppose to blow out of this hole or is there something internally wrong with the solenoid? It seems to be the air should either be completely off or when the solenoid activates routed to the cylinder. Escaping air does not seem right. I am puzzled.

    Bill,
I hope my memory is correct on your name, I left my notes at home. I talked to you the other day about my dead compressor on my PacBrake. You said you would replace the compressor under warranty--I gathered with a compressor from a different vendor, not Viair. You said you would send me a private email to confirm what you told me over the phone. As of today, Aug 31, I have not received the email. I am currently in Winthrop, WA but will be heading home tomorrow, trying to avoid the steepest passes, but I am planning another trip in Mid September where I cannot avoid a steep downgrade and would like to have the brake working before that time. What is the current status of the replacement compressor?
You can also email me at jwscott32@comcast.net.

I am having a problem with my 2005 Dodge Pac-Brake (non PRXB). The brake is either slow to react or wont react at all. The last time it was the air cylinder. What would be the best place to get a replacement?
