    Why I don't want a 3rd Gen....

    Seems funny, my 3rd Gen gets 25 to 26 mpg, calculated by hand, empty at 65 mph and 12. 5 mpg pulling my almost 6 ton 5th wheel at the same speed. My 2nd Gen did NOT meet those numbers. Plus I gained 4 wheel disc brakes, 4 full doors, an upgraded heavier duty transmission, and stronger frame...

    Most effective way to boost MPG

    End of Feb. '04, we came back from Lake Havasau, AZ to MN. 2003 HO with 3. 73 pulling 5th wheel camper, 100" wide and 12' 6" highs and weighs just under 12,000 loaded. Drove 65 all the way and got 12. 8 mpg.
