Engine problems (dead Water Pump and . . .?)

My truck only has 41,000 miles (completely stock) and the water pump needs replacing. Dealership is doing the work since it is under warranty. When I discovered the leak, the coolant looked more brown than I was expecting and I am wondering if there could be a larger problem I should look for...

    2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Need a tweater for my d.side a-pillar

I had the same tweeter go out on my old truck. Went to the local car stereo place and they replaced it with a $20 set that could handle 300 watts. I believe they attached it to the old plastic piece (i. e. could not tell it was not the factory one). I believe labor and all I paid $40 and it...

If you were to start over, What would you do?

Another thought . . . you could get an education degree and use the your experience to be a shop teacher etc. May not sound glamorous but there will always be jobs for teachers, benefits are generally very good, and you get a state funded retirement in 20 years or so depending on the state...

If you were to start over, What would you do?

Well, my suggestion would be business . . . it is somewhat generic but it is the best degree to qualify you for a variety of jobs and industries. If you are going to do engineering, make sure you know what you are getting into. You will have to take through Calculus 3 and differential equations...

    Running Out Of Fuel

I am rather new to the diesel world myself (so, I can't really help on the 1st gen problem) but, what the hell? I think that a few guys were just joking around and, in a way that you may have misunderstood, been complimenting the your father's truck. And, on a side note . . . I am guessing that...

    2 inch Leveling/lift kit??

If a new spring is being used to level the truck then it will give increased travel. If it is one of the discs that is inserted above the stock spring then the travel will not be increased as it is the same spring. However, in your case, if it is the disc . . . it is fairly easy to remove. If it...

    Home security system options?

In my experience, Remington and Mossberg are the top names in home security "systems" :D

    Consumer Reports Truck Review . . .

Someone please correct me if I am wrong but, I was flipping through a consumer reports "Car and Truck Buyer's Guide" in the grocery store line and it appeared that my truck ('06 2500) got their worst rating possible and, in particular, the applied it to the fuel system. Now, I don't have much...

    06 Paint problem

I am glad I am not the only one who is a little angry at the poor paint quality. You would think it could be a little better for a $40k vehicle. My 2001 paint was better and my 1984 was better than that . . . trend in the wrong direction :-(
