    air compressor

I run a pair of Viairs in my bed box, no issues and both are rated at 100% Duty Cycle. When we 'Play' with the horns they get a work out. With about 7. 5 gallons of storage at 150 psi they will air up about any tire in short order. I haven't tried to run air tools from it yet (probably won't...

    Who's having rust problems?

Rust?? Whats that? The 96 has never been in a garage and the only thing that has happened is the clear coat has dissolved (from the sunshine). Oh I know, Rust is that cool orangeish brown color they paint some trucks and cars with on the east coast... . Sorry, I could not help myself, please...

    Air bag install after-action report

On my Ride-Rites I installed on the 07. 5 I also installed an auto lever system, sure wished I had done it to the 96 14 years ago. Now I don't have to do it manually ever again. It sure does make a difference to just hook up and go and not futz around getting things level.

Airbagit.com- Do not buy towing kit

I installed my Ride-Rites with out any issues at all. Yea the brake line is close to the u-bolt, but no issues. Nice 'no drill' kit and the fit up was very good. My 96 has over the springs bags with custom upper mounts and it was a hassle. no problems with either set of bags (12 years on the 96...

Got 51,000 this week and issue free. Dang, what a great truck/engine combo.

    Hot 6.7

I have seen a few 1500*+ spikes for short periods when towing heavy, seems like 1100* to 1300 are the norms. The coolant temps I have experienced (Don't have and EDGE) are above 200* consistantly when on a slight pull empty, but seems to make little difference if there is 11K hanging off the...

    Balloon Fest

The second weekend of Fiesta, good choice. Usually the mass influx is for the first weekend anyway, there are alot of motels along the I-25 corridor near the park. If driving is not a problem there are several along I-40 West of the river. I think Rt66 Casino does a promo during that time also...

    2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission wandering 2500

My 96 has done that ever since I purchased it. It's not normal??? What the heck! I though that that was the way they were supposed to drive (The factory tech rep said so)(LOL)

How Many TDR Memebers are in the Albuquerque Area

If any of the Albuquerque Members want something to do this weekend, The Grillin' and Chillin' BBQ and ChilE cook off are Friday 12 to 9 and Saturday 10 to 6 at Isleta Lakes Campground, I think $4 addmission. RV Space 35 is me, I won't be vending, just competing. Drop by and I'll buy you a cold...

which is the prefered black water tote

I use the blue ones from Camping world for mostly grey water transport. My mobile kitchen does not have holding tanks and a 23 gallon one has been with us for 8 years now and most of my crew has towed with a truck at one time or another. The only thing I don't like (much) is you can't seen to...

I there is a place here in Albuquerque that I believe is called American Diesel. I want to think it is at Morris and Menual or Montgomery. I have not been there but I have had friends use him several times. He used to work for Central Motive Diesela nd is straight up with the repairs. I do not...

After the j35 flash, I got....

The jury is still out on mine. So far it appears to up shift smoother and the down shifts are not as hard, will do a hard pull to Durango over the 4th and we will compare it with last years run.

    Winegard Wingman

Walley World has amplified HD antennas for under $35. Bought one last fall and it beats the Winegard add on hands down. Small, compact and if you play your cards right you can move it slightly to adjust signals. No issues with it so far. We usually don't dry camp, so shore power is usually...

    On board air

I am running a pair of Viairs, 450C and a 550C with a 5 gallon and 2. 5 gallon tank. They are operated through a pair of relays and a single pressure switch. There is an air QD at the bed box that we use for tire inflation and what not. It sure is nice to have 7 + gallons of stored air all of...

    2500 V10 & A Really Big Alfa 5th Wheel

AWeiman; Thanks, my setiment exactly. The lighter side is, I have made a pretty good living off of the 'oil burners' in my 30+ years as a wrench and am glad I finally took the plunge to get my own. Some times we don't always do what is best for the future, sometimes it is what is convienent at...

I won't hold it against him, my business partner in Rio Rancho and some of my team members have Ferd's too, we are still friends. PM me and we might all hook up some weekend.

    Air Bags

IMHO; Dodge springs sort of suck. With a near capacity load on the '96 I reversed the arch, sucked to be me, I was not smart enough to get the overloads on it, so bags were my choice to correct the problem. With the 07. 5 3500 and overloads, the ride was crappy to say the least when the 5'er was...

    2500 V10 & A Really Big Alfa 5th Wheel

FPettijohn, my 6. 7 will definitely run circles around the V-10, with or with out a load. I only have exhaust and a few minor tweeks (No ECM programming) and an intact transmission (never been out of the truck, only services done). It has proven it will out pull the Ferd V-10 (6. 8l) It also...
