Grenanded the engine in my 2015 3500 w/Aisin

Jared, yep there is nothing like hearing a diesel engine revving about 6 thousand RPM. Not good.

Grenanded the engine in my 2015 3500 w/Aisin

m37, That sounds like a good idea. In the oil field where I worked for some thirty years, all diesel trucks were required to have installed a mechanical air shut off butterfly in the intake to the turbo to prevent a runaway. This was because of the possibility of ingesting flammable atmosphere...

Grenanded the engine in my 2015 3500 w/Aisin

If that was a reply to my statement, I never mentioned anything about the crankcase breather. I was referring to the oil fed to the turbo charger for lubrication. If the seal is lost between the bearing and the case the turbo will draw oil from that point and feed the engine on that oil. This...

Grenanded the engine in my 2015 3500 w/Aisin

There is no air valve, that is the problem. Most runaways are caused by a bad bearing in the turbo that allows oil to pass from the center bearing in the turbo to the intake system. This results in the engine running on crankcase oil uncontrolled. There is no air valve on a stock diesel engine...

Shell Rotella T vs Shell Rotella synthetic

Just FYI, I read in one of the tech articles in TDR that Fram oil filters were found to be responsible for a number of Cummins engine failures. It seems that some of the filter media was released into the lube system and plugged passages causing a loose of pressure and you know what that caused...

    Heat woes continue...

You may want to check and see if your air conditioner isn't on. It the compressor is running you have found your problem.

    Heat woes continue...

If it were the thermostat you would be having engine heat problems and it sounds as if the engine temp is pretty constant. There appears to be a problem with the flow through your heater core or the mix doors are hanging up.

2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Brake pedal goes to floor after bleeding

I looked into buying a reverse bleeder. It makes excellent sense but they are a bit too expensive. I did get a pressure bleeder but I didn't go through the proportional valve procedure. I think this may be my problem. Plus I converted the front brakes to disc so I found a used proportioning...

2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Brake pedal goes to floor after bleeding

I think like you. I find it hard to believe that three master cylinders would all be leaking by which is why I changed them all. I might be having a problem with the proportioning valve. I just ordered a new one of those. I think that might have been creating a problem with bleeding the front...

2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Brake pedal goes to floor after bleeding

If that be the case then three master cylinders have all had the same problem and one of them was brand new. And there have been no leaks detected and no fluid loss.

2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Brake pedal goes to floor after bleeding

I have a similar problem with my peddle going down. It pumps up and gradually goes down with steady pressure on the peddle. No fluid anywhere. I have replaced the master cylinder three times, 2 rebuilts and 1 new. Same thing. Adjusted rear brakes twice. Peddle came up but still bleeds down.

2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Brake pedal goes to floor after bleeding

I had to put clamps on the cover of the pressure bleeder to get it to seal. Then it worked good.

    Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Overheating

Cummins said they don't supply fan clutches for Dodge applications. That has to come from Dodge.

    Leaking hydraulic pump

I think that teflon tape is just asking for a problem. It doesn't fix or replace a 50 cent "o" ring. I had a similar leak problem. It turns out that the hose fittings just needed a little tightening.

Guns, Bows, Shooting Sports, and Hunting NRA-ILA interview with Governor and Presidential Candidate, Mitt Romney

It really is elementary. If the President stays in office you can count on a UN gun treaty and numerous other treaties that he is cooking up with the UN that will end our enjoyed freedoms!

    Fan Clutch Removal

Snap On makes an open end wrench for that. It's about $60 or so, but it's worth the money. It makes the job a lot easier.
