One of your closing statements stood out. You stated while key is on but not started you see the cluster go dark, could it possibly be a short in the ignition switch itself. Maybe jiggle the key to see if that introduces the intermittent issue? I may be totally off base but just a thought.

Curious what this is proving. I know we use to place hard drives in a freezer before boot up on voicemail systems as a last ditch effort to get a system up. Freezing would allow the platter to spin up and load. Ecm is solid state so just curious.

Thank you Sir, replacing my fan clutch this year made a difference in AC performance and now I understand why the passenger side is warmer. Having the MM3 I will be keeping an eye on the fan operation vs head pressures and as always low fan speed on blistering days at start ups.

A simple way to check the fan clutch is to turn on AC and once the head pressure reaches a set point it should engage the fan. You would’ve noticed the AC wasn’t cooling also at idle and the engine cold, but once rolling the AC gets cold.
