    T style upgrade

I'll second the Mopar. About 70k since install and zero issues.

Setllantis crashing what does that mean for new trucks going forward

I just heard that Tim Kuniskis is back from retirement and is now CEO of the Ram brand. That's good news in my book.

Gates Serpentine belt and Tensioner assembly

I have about 110k on my gates belt/tensioner combo if that makes you feel any better. No issues.

    Stolen Truck

I have Air Tags in my vehicles for this purpose. They work well enough and the price is right. It does depend on other cell phone users being nearby with bluetooth enabled, but your thief probably has a cell phone in his pocket...

    Ordered Historic License Plate

I went with Grundy on a friends recommendation. As cheap as they were I didn't bother to shop around.

    Ordered Historic License Plate

You might consider getting classic car insurance on the truck. I pay $10 a month for the insurance on my 82 Jeep and that eliminates the emissions test in AZ. Doing a quick search I didn't see anything that excluded diesel vehicles from that exemption.

How Long Did Your Factory Batteries Last? I Got 17yrs, 4months

Four years on the originals, quality replacements of various brands including optima/interstate/NAPA etc die in 3 years like clockwork. I blame Phoenix heat.

    Need diesel mechanic

Add another user who's done it solo... Even if you don't want to do it yourself you don't really need a "diesel" mechanic for this. Any competent shop could handle it.

    Rims

I think you'll be upside down for a long time if you buy new wheels to save a few bucks on tires. You may be able to pick up the OEM 17" aluminum wheels for much less. They are high quality and fit perfectly.

    Lift height question

I have the same truck, the three "blocks" you're referring to are part of the OE spring pack.

    Lift height question

Judging from your pics, it sure looks like the Rough Country 3" lift. https://www.roughcountry.com/dodge-suspension-lift-kit-343c.html?find=2006-dodge-ram-2500-4wd-736583#154=587

    OLD GUYS/GALS-SPINAL STENOSIS

I got a laugh out of that one. Excellent advice no matter what the profession. :D

    Steering Stabilizer

I'd second John's comment on double checking for a fallen needle bearing. That REALLY looks to be the case from the picture.

    Front end knocking...

Did you check the axle shaft u-joints? A bad u-joint in the front axle will bind during a turn and make the truck feel like it's in 4wd with a similar "lurch" feeling. Jack up the front end and rotate each of the front tires with the wheels turned. If that's the problem you won't notice any bind...

    Track bar questions

It doesn't take a lot of parts store track bars to end up at the same money as buying a good one the first time. I played that game with my 2nd gen, I was even able to replace some of the cheap ones under warranty. That was roughly once a year. I put a Carli on my 3rd gen 10 years ago and...

    Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) 97 2500 12v not charging, no tach,no a/c, no lock up in o/d

If memory serves, there was a specific air gap to set on the ESS when installing.

    Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) 97 2500 12v not charging, no tach,no a/c, no lock up in o/d

No lockup/tach/charge is usually this: https://www.rockauto.com/en/catalog/dodge,1997,ram+2500+pickup,5.9l+l6+diesel+turbocharged,1095904,ignition,crankshaft+position+sensor,7196

    Steering components question

You probably can't find the right parts because that is not the original steering linkage. At some point in the trucks life it was upgraded to the "T" steering linkage instead of the "Y" that the truck came with. Mopar sells it as a complete replacement kit. I took a quick look on rock auto...

Rusted Vacuum lines to front end actuator

I ditched the whole setup in my '97 for a posi-lok cable actuator. As a bonus I was able to use 2-lo.
