    Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Dual disc clutch release issue

I have had a worsening issue with my clutch not disengaging. It started by being more difficult than normal to get into gear when stopped. Rolling through the gears while driving was easy but I tend to match speeds anyway. It got to the point when I was sitting still with it in gear and the...

    Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Ignition safety switch on a 2000 ram with manual trans?

It is a black plastic collar about 2. 5" long on the clutch master cylinder rod. Pull the white cover off and pull back a little and it will come off.

2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Stock replacement leather seat covers

What does it take to pull the lower cushions off? Could I swap the lh and rh cushions until I get the cover made/purchased for the lh side?

2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Stock replacement leather seat covers

Looking for a stock leather replacement seat cushion cover. The seats in mine are from a 2001 if that matters. Who are some vendors that sell these items? I don't want to use a neoprene or canvas cover to hide the tears.

Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Temp Fix for Cracked Exhaust Manifold

You could TIG it with stainless rod. Drill a hole at both ends of the crack to stop it. Grind yourself a bevel along the length of the crack. I agree with using the engine or pre heat and post heat.

2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission upgrading to 35in tires experiences please

I have always had 35's on my truck. When I put a set of 295's I borrowed on there I noticed a huge dikfference in braking.

Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) New way for a belt to fail, for me anyway.

Mine did the same thing but it was soaked with oil from my leaky oil pan gasket.

    2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Firewall insulation

I pulled all of mine off because it was looking ratty like yours. I can say that my truck is louder than most I ride in, and I would like to replace it with something in the future.

    Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Highgeartransmission

They rebuilt two Ford transmissions for me at their Nashville TN location before it closed. I think they did a good job. I believe they moved it back to their home base in Memphis.

    Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) I have a coolant ???

I use the Rotella ELC. It meets the same spec as the CAT ELC. Just flush well, then flush with distilled water and fill with coolant.

    Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Optix Dipricol

Well CRAP! I wondered why I couldn't find the DiPricol trans temp gauge I need to complete my installation. Now I am going to have 1 mismatched gauge.

2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Flatbed MPG Question

Steel flat beds are pretty heavy, so the loss of MPG makes sense.

2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Front Axle Nut

I broke my 1/2" breaker bar when I did my ball joints. Plan to have a 3/4" breaker bar or a couple of 1/2" ones around. My 660 lbft IR impact got it off though ;-)

2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Seat Belt light

Mine stays on all the time. I tried jumping the truck side, but could not get the light to go out.
