I'm confused by this. My 04 had the stamped rectangular ones. The OP has an 04. That is OEM for an 04. Are you simply saying newer models are tubular now?

I see the stamped ones and tubular. Stamped ones are like $20 each.

I live 90 miles east of Dallas, in Ben Wheeler. Out in the country the main roads are great but a lot of the county roads are a disaster. New stock arms are really cheap cost wise and will probably outlast your ownership.

Probably didn't want to have a different part. Unless the mounting on the frame is different.

I went with aftermarket arms because I have 2" taller front springs. The slightly longer arms moves the front axle back to stock.

I think you can pry it up.

exactly... that's what I did. Went with Thuren. My stock control arms were rusting through around the bushing.

My truck lived in salt for 18 winters. Plowed also.

I did everything including heat. They rust in the arm bushing and lock solid.

I just replaced mine. Bought this truck new. It's 21 years old.

If it was me I would connect one. If it lights then there's your answer. If it doesn't, switch the wires. LEDs are diodes. They only work in one polarity. If you hook one up wrong it simply blocks current flow. Won't hurt it. Some LEDs have a built in circuit that allows you to hook up either way.

Might be track bar. When it's loose truck lurches sideways when hard braking.

It may be the internal board is corroded and wiggling it gets it to reconnect. The second video I posted the guy tore the fuse box apart and found a corroded trace..

Drum brakes don't have calipers. They have wheel cylinders. I don't understand how an issue with a wheel cylinder effects the ABS light and blows a fuse. Maybe someone here knows a bit more.

I don't believe I needed a different tie rod end looking at my records.
