2018 3500 am considering turbo replacement of the factory VGT.Just recently found out this has smaller turbo than pickup models.Can anyone recomend anything particular? I do still have the stock unit from my 05 5.9 I replaced that with a Garrett.

My flatbed has recessed gooseneck ball,I am considering a fifth wheel RV trailer.I think Ive seen at least 3 ways to convert,any advice regarding right/wrong from people who have been there,done that?

before the Garrett install I had bare/broken wires on the wastegate solenoid. The damage was too close to the unit to repair,so I got a new solenoid. I also had a jumper plug from ATS I was going to use to make the service engine light go away prior to the new solenoid. That being said,I could...

looking at these install photos I see no wastegate solenoid. I installed this turbo on my 05 with the solenoid. should I remove it and put the plug back on?

I just did this today. I left one bolt in skid,and swung it out of the way. I used a gear lube bottle tip on the ATF bottles,was very easy and quick.

Update while doing an oil change yesterday,checking things over it is apparent that both axle joints are spent. Truck just turned 70,000 miles,I'm researching the work ahead of me.

My issue went away,the only thing I did was grease the front drive shaft,not sure if that was what I was feeling though

there is no shimmy,vibration,or wander but is exactly how steved described. If you have ever had your truck in 4 low on dry pavement,feels like that when making a sharp left or right turn. Who can suggest a good replacement part brand/number?thanks for everyones input,I hear these originals can...

OK,its not in 4 wheel drive,I did notice some up and down movement at ball joint area maybe 1\16 inch or so. Is there a way to test or troubleshoot the steering box to see if that is what I am feeling at the steering wheel?

I'm jacking it up today to see if it may be stuck in 4 wheel drive,is that even possible?

just recently I started feeling a strange thing when merging onto a road both left/right. Best way to describe it is what you would when truck is still in 4 wheel drive as if the front driven wheels were tugging at the steering wheel. The truck is 05 3500 4x4 srw automatic just over 60K,any ideas?

The Husaberg would not fit in bed with tailgate up even when box wasnt there. I fabbed this up,passenger side hinges down and I slip a ramp into it. You can buy similar ones but they are not as solid as this.

mine stops working once in a while,I pop the hood and tap thermocouple wire and it comes back to life.
