    Wiper control switch

Thank you. Now to find the switch. Not sure yet if I want to do this twice so I might do as you did and have one on hand.

    Wiper control switch

After posting I see the link from before but it does not tell me if the switch can be cleaned or is replaceable. Maybe the whole turn signal part and wiper control needs to be replaced????

    Wiper control switch

I'm having some intermittent problems with the wiper delay and activation on my 2004.5. Seems I have read about a fix for these before including maybe just cleaning contacts. Scanned the Genos catalog and did not see a replacement part. What is the difficulty in getting to this switch? Do...

    MOPAR Warranty

I just learned that residents of CA and WA state will not be able to buy extended warranties from out of state as of Jan 1. So if you were looking to buy from Zeigler or Granger after that date you would need an address from another state. Just sucks living in this (CA) for political reasons...

    Possible a/c issue

Hard to imagine it's anything but the compressor. Taking the belt off is going to be the same as turning the switch off. You won't have the compressor in the diagnosis. If it's okay with the A/C off then one would think that is the problem. You might start first having someone engage the A/C...

    Possible a/c issue

I just changed a compressor on a 2003 RAM hemi for the same reason. The engine was off and on slowing down. But in this case the compressor was making noise as it slowed down...locking up. Still blowing cold air at the time.

    Bumper Cover Maintenance

How much of the product did you use? As in packets...to do the bumper and lower air dam.

    Bumper Cover Maintenance

Interesting product. Had not heard of it before now but will try it. Nothing else has worked that the auto supply stores sell. I peeled off the old faded piece before recycling the bumper so that I could experiment with it. That piece may be too far gone to test on the exposed side but maybe...

    Bumper Cover Maintenance

I just replaced the bumper on my 04 and it came with a new black step cover as well. My question re: this material.... has anyone found a way to keep it new looking? I have tried Back to Black and I think three other products that profess to keep the plastic looking good but that did not...

    Jasper Transmissions

I was getting estimates of $4,500 to $5,500 to rebuild mine stock. Beefed up it would run one to two thousand more. Ordering one thru Jasper or Certified was going to be more but you get a better warranty. So you can easily be in the 7 grand area with one beefed up. The labor for R&R seems...

    Jasper Transmissions

Good leads and just fyi both of those are out of my county. Riverdale is Fresno County and about 80-90 miles which is not much further than the Fresno rebuilder I was honing in on so I will contact them. Oakdale might be Modesto County and is about 150 miles. I live in a beautiful mountain...

    Jasper Transmissions

Called a local RAM dealer and after checking my vin said the MOPAR 48RE has not been available to them since 2020. So they refer their customers out to a rebuilder.

    Jasper Transmissions

That is likely what I will do. We know the dealers no longer rebuild parts. It's R&R for them. So if a MOPAR labeled trans is available it's rebuilt somewhere else. Maybe Jasper.

    Jasper Transmissions

Just thinking further about this, Stellantis or whomever owns RAM now puts rebuilt transmissions in newer trucks that fail under warranty. Some owners are pissed because they cannot get a new one installed. So they get rebuilds from somewhere but maybe not 48RE's. Had I thunk about this I...

    Jasper Transmissions

I'm surprised there is an actual MOPAR reman. This is the first I have heard of that so I will have to google that to see what and if they are obtainable in my area. I would like to look at all possibilities. Remember I live in Kalifornia and there might be a part made from crude oil in the...

    Jasper Transmissions

Not that I am aware of. We did discuss this somewhat but I found further info and recommendations on the Jaspers. Which I can get done locally. The recs have been to upgrade the valve body in addition to the torque converter. But my use with the stock valve body has been fine and I don't...

    Jasper Transmissions

Thank you. I knew their engines were poor but heard good things about the trans. I have an option to have mine rebuilt which is less convenient being out of my area but probably safer. 12K warranty and one year but I should be able to put it through enough work to know it's going to be okay...

    Jasper Transmissions

I have narrowed down the search for a stock rebuilt transmission for my 2004.5 48RE but would like to know if anyone has had or heard of issues with that company. I don't have access to the better builds but Jasper has options for a billet torque converter and beefed up trans. Do not know what...

    2010 AC Issues

Although I am not very familiar with the 2010 HVAC set up I am recently very familiar with the 2003-04. Did two blend door replacements. What you don't say is how the air flow is when you change functions. Are you getting air flow on Heat function just like the A/C? If so, you likely have a...

2003 Blend Door Replacement & Actual Issue

The vehicle owner said she started thinking back about when this might have occurred. She recalled talking to her late husband about the heater taking longer and longer to heat up the interior. Slowly, over time and his ill health she decided to ignore it and just use the seat warmer and...
