Disconnected at battery....No code on my truck unless you wait to crank and let it pre-heat or use the remote start when it is cold. The code can be cleared with a code reader. I forgot once and it easily cleared with my Scangauge II that I have hooked up.

That is where I disconnected mine, folded it back and zip tied to the wire to keep it out of the way.

yep, that works for me with the amount of boondocking I do, also want to manage the loads on my Onan 5500. It's definitely a balance act for each persons individual needs and situation. Also, have 600 watts of solar I will add to the mix when the sun is out.

I went with two batteries instead of one incase one battery has a BMS failure I'm still good. Also, I'm adding a 40 amp charger at the batteries to supplement the onboard converter when necessary....ie quick charge.

As others have said the wire on the truck will act like a resistor and limit the amps going to the battery with the natural voltage drop over the length of the wire, you know you'll have a problem if you blow the 30 amp charge circuit fuse on the truck. Also my trailer has 30 amp truck charge...

I like being able to put my locking fuel cap on and lock it before adding DEF...sort of helps with error prevention in my opinion.

My 2017 is running great with 68,400 miles on it....I just can't decided whether to do this recall or not. My truck just gets used for pulling the RV these days. What would you do?

same here since new at higher altitudes, no problem at sea level. I lock out 6th and all it well.
