    20" Wheel Tire options

Well gents after much back and forth I pulled the trigger on the Michelins in stock size. I ended up not wanting to skew the speed and make the truck work just a little bit harder given the slightly bigger size. Hopefully these Michelins perform as well as the Firestones did for me; they are...

    20" Wheel Tire options

So I think I am ready to pull the trigger on a set of Michelin Defender LTX M/S in either 285 or 295/60R20. Does the fact that my rig's pin weight puts me at my RAWR warrant bumping up to 295s?

    20" Wheel Tire options

Any reason to believe the larger size would generate more heat? I've looks at both Michelin and Goodyear in a 285, I'll have to see if the offer a 29 .

    20" Wheel Tire options

What size are the Nittos your Son uses? 285 or 295? I'd imagine 295 as Ihavent seen anything in the 285 size in a load range F.

    20" Wheel Tire options

Hi all, I own a 2015 3500 Mega Cab Laramie and just passed 42k miles on my OEM Firestones. I have been very proactive in rotation/inflation management and as such have been good thus far but they are quickly approaching the end of their service life. Most of the truck's miles are spent towing...

3500 Gear Ratio change and Tow rating

You can change the axel ratio all you want, but remember dodge still has a published RAWR of 7k, and the tires are rated at just about that. I'm not sure if the DRW option changes anything else besides the axel though. 2015 3500 SRW 4x4 MegaCab Laramie Aisin

    Cruise Control

I had the same issue under warranty and it turned out the actual switches were bad and were working intermittently. They replaced them and I haven't had an issue in 6 months 2015 3500 SRW 4x4 MegaCab Laramie Aisin

    Towing a 5th wheel

To be honest I've never measured how far out I am...best i can say is that it is noticeably nose high once you are far enough away from to see the entire thing. 2015 3500 SRW 4x4 MegaCab Laramie Aisin

    Towing a 5th wheel

I would be very careful raising a fifth wheel up like that. The big concern is changing your center of gravity. Additionally, whatever leveling system you may or may not have will have to be modified to account for the increased height. Then you have the height itself. My 355w is 13'4" tall when...

    Towing a 5th wheel

Yes they do sit high. I tow a jayco 355w toy hauler with my 2015 3500 SRW and despite the sag from the weight of the pin it is still not level. I do not have bags yet either. You can make adjustments to the pin on most lippert frames and on some hitches (my b&w companion can be adjusted up or...

2018 3500 diesel, single axle, Aisin

As far as I know the torque/hp rating is just based on the transmission. Your will have the max with the aisin. The only delta between the DRW and SRW is the axel ratio. Only 3.42 available with SRW. 2015 3500 SRW 4x4 MegaCab Laramie Aisin

    Customtronix Jailbreak Review

That is something to consider, but also why I went with the customtronix setup. There is no hardware modification, just adding the online harness in the back to add the video inputs. You can remove it and flash the radio back to stock (or flash it back to stock without removing it) and you'll be...

    Customtronix Jailbreak Review

Hi all, I have a 2015 3500 MegaCab and use it to tow a 2017 Jayco 355w. It is my first fifth wheel, and after several trips I quickly realized that I needed better visibility on the rear of the trailer. Luckily mine came wired (power only) for a rear camera so I started to figure out the best...

It was, and may still be, an option you could upgrade to on the 2015. 2015 3500 SRW 4x4 MegaCab Laramie Aisin

    New 3500 Dodge - sell 7.3 PSD?

I have a 15 3500 mega cab SRW with the Aisin and tow a 17k toy hauler. Pin weight fully loaded puts me about 200 lbs. over RAWR. The truck does just fine. I can't speak to a slide in camper, but I know most folks feel better served by a dually in that capacity. With a 4k payload for the SRW...

    October 5th whl travel

I used to live in Omaha for 5 years before the air force sent me to SoCal. I think you'll be hard pressed to find any hazardous road conditions on 80 in NE in October. I think any issues you would have would be at the higher elevations. If you want to to take the camper may be look into some...

Engine temp with very high ambient

Highest i saw on my 2015 3500 SRW towing my 16k fifth wheel up a decent grade on CA-14 (Santa Clarita to Palmdale if it matters) in 95 degree heat was 235ish, with the a.c. on. That is until the fan clutch engaged and dropped it rapidly. I've seen mine get around 200 unloaded when it's stupid...

    Aisin VS 68RFE

To each his own. I'm with SNOKING, towing at or below FCA's GCWR with the Aisin and 3.42s is nothing to get hot and bothered over. Just understand it's limitations and you'll do fine. Would 3.73s or 4.10 perform better? Of course; that's why FCA says you can tow more with them. I tow my 16k toy...
