    2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Dually Tires

In regards to the B. F. Goodrich Commercial TA, size 235/80/17 e rated M&S, had them put on my truck, 04. 5 DRW 4x4, this morning. Greate job, looks all prettyy, drove it down the street, the ride was smoother than the old Generals. That's when it all stopped. Got on the beltway about 65 mph...

Aux. cooling fans, 04.5 Had a problem last summer in Nashville, temp. 98, Hum. about 95. DW was ready to take a cab. Got home, did some searching on TDR, and others, found some guys had put fans in front of the condenser. Took my truck to the dealer, under warr. and had them check it out and...

    Need new trailer tires, help

My 2 cents: Most all the ST tires are made in China, they are speed rated for about 60 MPH. I had Mission 225-75-15 on my trailer. Less than 3 years, 4000 miles they started coming apart, it looked like the inner cords broke and the outside tread was all rounded instead of flat across. Also out...

Eliminating the Fore and Aft Jerking of a Fifth Wheel

I installed a MorRyde king pin box on my 290 Cougar 5er. What a difference! I read a lot of articles on TDR, RV.net and talked to some people that had them. Great information. By installing the MorRyde, and Monroe shocks on the trailer, and the Monroe Reflex shocks on the truck made it a...

a different type of tire question

Just got back from a 1400 mile trip to Florida with the new tires, shocks and hitch. What a difference! Trailer is much more stable, the truck rides a lot smoother, and the bouncing is all but gone. Gotta love it. ( see my previous post)

a different type of tire question

New tires and schocks on our 5er. Reciently replace the tires, Mission 225/75/15 D with BFG commercial T/A 225/75/16. Also installed Monroe gasmatic trailer shocks. What a difference this makes. Also along with all this I installe a Moryde hitch pin box. This was the clincher. Also a set fo...

    experience with Mor-ryde

We installed a Mor/ryde pin box on our Cougar 290 this summer. A major improvement. Also looked into the mor/ryde axle, but found it too expensive to convert. Installed 4 Monroe RVGas shockabsorbers. Fabricated my own brackets and installed the works for about $125. It is a completely new ride...

2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Where Can I Find The Cab Marker Lights For My Truck

Have been looking for some slick replacement cab lights and found Putco brand, p/n 900556,920556 or 930556, depending on color. Several online sites have them. Has anyone used these and are they as advetised?

    Equalizer hitch

Ditto on Gifford's post. I have a 12k Equalizer brand from RV Wholesalers. Worked great. Pulled a 28' TT in the mountains of Tenn. with my Doolie. It was like it was glued to it. Ended up buying a 5er, so don't use the Equalizer any more. Used one of the chain type units, and it worked, but not...

2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Factory fog lights?

Rite about the options, Ended up with the Laramie pac on my 04. 5. Have had no regrets. As for the fog lites, the best ones on any vehicle I've had. Great in the rain and actually work in the fog. Great for rural roads with no marker lines on the outside. I am wondering about the extra relay...

Cranes for pickup load and unload

Thats a pretty hefty lift, but it works. The teflon would be great, I no longer have a source, but in the aircraft industry, there is a sheet teflon from . o40 to . 125 thick that would work great. Until that is found, maybe a grease fitting on the side would help.

Cranes for pickup load and unload

I got a cheepie from Harbor freight and installed a cable winch and pulley on the end. Also added a peice of square tubing to extend it about a foot. I use it to lift the 5er plate, Yahama 2500 gen. set, mostly liter things. It would probably lift a SB Chevy engine or smaller. Also made a...
