How is calling a Cummins water pump a "Cummins water pump" misleading? It is a Cummins water pump. Just because it does not say made by Concentric, Bosch or Continental in the description make it "misleading". By the way. The replacement water pump for the 2013 and newer trucks is made in Italy.

Sounds like customer service was correct. This only applies to the 2013 and newer trucks with a specific water pump. The older pumps were not part of the recall.

Cummins has released the new water pump for the 2013 to 2018 Ram trucks with the 6.7L. Right now the price of them is not bad but who knows how long that will last. The new Cummins part number is a 5473057.
