Are you just estimating your hp - Tq, I think with your mods you may be discrediting your torque output. As far as bumping up the timing, if you tick with 15* like you said, you shouldn't have to worry about damaging your engine.

As much of a 12-valve guy as I am, I've gotta say, the motor looks like it was meant to be in there. BTW, very clean rig you got there!

This may not be quite as true for teh 12 valve but for free you can get about 300 horsies and a whole lotta torque that the small block would never see!
