Any thoughts on why my air will only come out of the defrost vents regardless off where the selector switch is located? Blend door actuator type failure, but I am unable to locate the weak link.
Orange County Diesel did mine. They are located in Huntington. They help me out with things that are beyond my mechanical knowledge. Be prepared, it'll probably cost well over $2000. I would suggest doing the lift pump and getting a fuel pressure gauge if you don't already have one.
Mine (engine mounted lift pump)died at about 57,000. I had to take it to the dealer twice before they did anything (I guess the fact that the leaking diesel fuel was clearly visible and gave off a very distinct diesel fuel scent wasn't indicative of malfunction the first time around).

I am having similar issues (i. e. the blend door is staying in the defrost position regardless of where the selector is positioned). I'm new here and looking for a thread that details a quick fix or the dreaded long fix of removing the HVAC. Any help is appreciated.
