    Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Gas in Diesel

Thanks for the advice. I contacted a certified diesel mechanic online and he basically said the same thing as you all did. I put a bit more Stanadyne Lubricity Formula in the fuel that normal. I drove it into work this morning and it actually seems to be running smoother than usual. My plan is...

    Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Gas in Diesel

Oops! I did the unthinkable! I accidentally started fueling my diesel with gasoline! I caught it right away but got . 3 gallon into my tank. The tank on my Ram 2500 holds 35 gallons. Is this enough gas in the diesel to cause a problem? My thoughts are that since it is such a small percentage...

2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Truck Tried to Shake Itself to Death

I am relatively new to Dodge trucks and don't know anything about the "death wobble". I don't doubt what others have said though. Years ago I had a 1962 International Scout that would exhibit similar conditions. As long as the front wheels were in balance all was well. If not, hit a pot hole...

    Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) ATS Commander vs Copilot

Could someone briefly explain just what the ATS-Co-Pilot would do for me? I bought one after it being recommended to me. I returned it after reading through the instructions several times. I have a '99 CTD and the instructions lead me to believe that there is a lot of manual intervention...

    Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) Tabbed my KDP today......

I tried to find the jig and was unsuccessful. I saw instructions on using it the Geno's had so I queried them. No one there was able to come up with one either. So, I decided to get the TST kit. Steve Cass Tucson

    Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) Tabbed my KDP today......

no, they didn't charge me anything extra. They had a book rate for R/Ring the Timing cover. since the only additional work involved for this is to remove one bolt and installing the longer bolt and tab from the TST kit that's what they charged me. They did have the TST instruction sheet that I...

    Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) Tabbed my KDP today......

Done It! I got the dowel pin tabbed yesterday. I did wimp out and have a shop do the work though. They had real trouble getting the fan off the clutch (it took two of them). That added quite a bit of time to the job for them. They charged me $172 which I thought was quite reasonable these days...

    Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) 53 block question

If you crawl under from the front left look underneath the PS pump area and you should see the '53'. I is quite obvious on mine!

    Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) Tabbed my KDP today......

I have a 1999 CTD with 55000 miles on it. I purchased a TST kit but have been procrastinating about doing the job. If the engine were on a bench I would have no concerns about it. But trying to get in to it while lying underneath causes me concerns. I do smaller jobs myself. In the past I have...

    ats co-pilot. good or bad?

I purchased one and returned it after reading the instructions. Are you guys who use it and like it using stock transmissions? It looks like the Commander would be great IF you have upgraded to the ATS transmission and the five star converter. BUT, if using the a stock transmission it looks to...

    Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) ATS Co-Pilot

I am new to diesels and new to TRD. I have a 1999 Ram 2500 CTD 4X4. I am running a stock engine and transmission and valve body. I am interested in the ATS Co-Pilot because it seem the me that it is a good idea to be able to control "lockup". But, I really don't know much about the details...

    first do-it-myself oil change

I am new to TDR and diesels and have what may seem like a dumb oil filter change question. I have a 1999 Ram 2500 4X4 with the CTD. Is it easier to remove the oil filter from the top or the bottom? It doesn't look real easy from either side! cessna
