Just did an upper ball joint on my '00. Dodge doesn't replace upper ball joints they replace the upper control arm- $400 plus labor $775. You can get an upper ball joint from a parts store for $100-200 and then hammer out the old one and get an alignment. Dealer price $585.

I like a warm engine and Dawn soap, sent to work in all oil spill wildlife clean-ups. I've also heard engines have a coating that engine cleaners can remove and possilbly open engine parts to rust. Dawn worked great for me, a sponge and a hose- don't wash your pcm (pass side firewall). Have fun
