Has anybody connected their in bed fuel tank supply line to the auxillary fuel connenection on top of the tank cannister, instead of the fuel fill pipe valve that comes w/ the auxillary tank ( I have an RDS tank)

I was driving to work the other day, and my TC unlocked around 75 MPH, I have an ATS 5 star w/ controller and was in overdrive at the time, I checked the controler and I'm pretty sure the lock up light was on but I was FREAKED OUT and can't be sure ! I held throttle as if it wa still locked up...
