Based on my troubleshooting, it's long winded, but I think I figured it out,( code P1689, dead pedal, self accelerating, stalling), my 98 1/2 needs a ECM. I want to get the part, but am overwhelmed by all the stuff people have gone through with reman ECMs. Any one have a good recommendation for me?

Is there a way to smooth out converter lockup. Mine hits hard. It is a ATS triplelock in front of a stage III ATS 47RE.

Have a ATS stage III 47RE and have stripped the input shaft to hub/retainer. 120000 on the trans, normal driving, some trailer towing. Have seen prices for billet input shafts for @800 bucks. Is this a problem with this trans? Is there a cheaper fix for it?

Have a QSB 173C in a yard goat, replaced the gear housing. The injection pump gear doesn't have the usual timing marks on it. Any one have a clue which of the letters I use for timing?

Ruled all out as to why it was hard to start, ran great once running. Spent the money and put injectors in it. Starts right up, still runs great. What was wrong with the injectors?

Brother was hooking up new stereo, shorted something out when hooking up stereo memory wire. Since lost his power mirrors and interior lights. All fuses good. Any ideas? Could it be the central timer module? On my 98 1/2, the module controlled the wipers, which still work on this '02.
