An interesting read for you folks with motor homes.

Found this while doing the service....so now I get to drop the valve body and check them all.
The screw was actually backed all the way out - the only thing keeping it from falling out was the trans case.
Just an FYI, something else to look for when 'yer in there.
Ran across this yesterday. FYI!

This may be old news to some of you guys. Was in the area of the largest Ram HD dealer in my area so I stopped in for a minute to drool....and came across one of these guys sitting in the back in 5500 trimmings. Neat!!

I know there are some train buffs here so I thought I'd share this. Another anniversary of one of the worst train bridge failures in the US has passed. Ashtabula is the town I work in, an old industrial town on the shore of Lake Erie, this is something that volunteers and officials have really...
Doing my annual undercoating and I remove all the fender liners to gain access to everything.
I found a gash on the CAC boot going into the after cooler. Looking online it seems that Mopar only sells the whole unit from the turbo to the cooler? Has anyone found the OEM individual boots...
Just ran across this, 3 & 6 ton jack stand recall from China Freight. Supposedly the blanks they used were wore out - yikes. Close to half a million jack stands affected! Spread the word to your friends and family...
Has anyone been able to find an exhaust manifold stud for the 4.6 3 valve engines that actually last? I've had to change them out 3 times in 10 years, the most recent being less than a year ago.
And I just found this in the driveway :mad:
It's definitely one of the studs I put in last...
COVID-19 claims another victim. At least Cummins is stepping up and paying their employees.

So I've been looking for a service manual for my L275 for a minute. According to my dealer they are no longer made and good luck sourcing a used manual for a 35 year old tractor without buying the tractor itself....
Stumbled across this website a few weeks ago. This may be old news to you...
Living in the rust belt I'm always inspecting out of the way areas on my truck in an effort to stave off corrosion. This morning while my tailgate was down I happened to look at the very bottom of the gate, the pinch joint area on the inside of the gate that you can only see with the gate down...
Guys, with the recent interest I figured I'd throw a few pictures up for those interested of an actuator replacement.
This is where I got mine for reference. This was posted by another member a while back although it escapes me who at the moment. Regardless, thank you! It is the best price for...
This has been posted before but thought I'd throw it out there again as a reminder. Mobil Delvac is running a rebate program through the end of the year (12-31-19).
Of course you have to purchase from an approved vendor which they have listed here.

Can anyone with Alpha OBD confirm if it can read airbag faults or do you need to buy additional adapters? I've read conflicting answers on this. I do know their website says
Then goes on to say
Which control units are they referring to?
I have a very intermittent "service airbag system"...
So it appears the 5.0 is dead by year's end. Its too bad, not that I'd ever own one but competition and choices across the lineup is always a good thing. Especially with all the regulations trying to put a choke hold on diesel. Wonder how much of a strain this puts on the 5.0 platform, and if...
So the system in the Mercury went TU last fall. A quick diagnosis confirmed loss of refrigerant but I left it at that as this vehicle rarely gets driven anymore, and we were all but out of A/C weather anyhow. This coming weekend I figure I will tackle it head on and get it back operational. The...
So I was under the truck earlier this week giving everything a good look over after the trip to the rally.
Low and behold, my passenger side lower intercooler isolator was MIA
Picture of driver side with isolator
I'm at a loss how this could have come apart on its own, they have tabs that...
