I've read alot about lift pump problems and on a 2nd gen. with a vp44 a failing lift pump can kill the expensive vp44 but what will a bad lift pump on 3rd gen. cause? Just a poor or non running truck or can it damage something on these trucks too? I'm thinking about buying a 2006.

I see a air filter from "True Flow" that I hadn't heard of before. Any info for or against? It supposedly is a 2 part foam filter that is over 12 times thicker than paper. It is washable but I don't know if you oil it, if so it may not be what I want.

I have a 2002 with 8,000 miles on it. I've always smelled the blow by and have discussed it before on here. The engine doesn't use oil, or very little but I can see the smoke from the blow by, especially at night with the headlights on (when I'm stopped). I'm wondering if anyone else sees smoke?
