1974 Cummins Power Wagon Monster Toy

Hiya folks - name's Sam, long-time member, and have a big silly toy named Bud...that while technically is not an actual 1st Gen Cummins it is powered by one, and I thought y'all might dig it. It's a '74 Power Wagon, crew cab convertible, with an early (non-IC) Cummins 6BT, 47rh, Ford divorced...

howdy folks. I just picked up a 95 CTD 2500 4x4 - decent farm truck with about 225k on it. This is my first 2nd Gen truck (I'm a rabid 1st Gen fan but this truck was a pretty good deal - anyway...). It's got some starting issues, and based on the symptoms and what I've read I've got a new TT...

    KSB 'voodoo'

Can a wax motor KSB be 'replaced' by a solenoid type KSB? I have the option of using either an early (non-IC) or late (IC) ve44 for my tugboat. I'd like to use the early one for the additional fuel and timing merits, but I don't want to use the early wax motor KSB because of how it is...

    POD injectors for sale, CO

    - got about 20k miles on 'em - not a thing wrong. They easily pushed the 'gate at 40 psi on a healthy fuel tune, and I still got 20 mpg (empty). Pulled like a freight train, and blew clean at 25 psi under load. And yes... they'll easily generate a big honkin black cloud if ya wanna :-laf...

    Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) cyclic 'hum' in lock-up...

... for a while now I've been trying to determine the source of a cyclic hum-hum-hum-hum-hum-hum coming from either the engine or transmission of my truck. It's a '93 Ramcharger, 6BT, 47rh transmission, 241 t-case, d60 front, d70 rear. It only happens with the converter locked up - it goes away...

    47rh 2wd transmission

Hey folks - I'm needing a complete 47rh transmission from a '94-96 2wd diesel. 'Good running' or 'good builder' is fine so long as it's 'complete' and not is several boxes ;) . If you gots, please let me know. Thanks - Sam -- email address removed --

    Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) 46rh / 47rh tailhousings?

Can anyone confirm for me if the tailhousing/overdrive rear section of a 91-93 Cummins A-518 2wd is the same/interchangeable as the '94-96 47rh Cummins 2wd tail section? My intel and local builders says 'yes' but I'd like a few 2nd opinions. If they are then I need either one in 2wd, if...

47RH governor pressure affected by kickdown?

Howdy folks - (I've also posted this thread in the 2nd gen 12v section... ) I have a '93 Ramcharger 4x4 that I've converted to diesel using a '91 6BT and a '95 47RH (and a 241, D60/D70). Lock-up and overdrive are controlled via a pair of adjustable hobbs switches plumbed into the governor...

    pump gear end play?

... so I'm changing out the front main seal, and I notice... hopefully not to my detriment... that the pump gear has a bit of in-out 'play', no more than a 1/16", but certainly there. I've recently rebuilt the pump, there were no left over parts, it runs perfectly, everything is nice and...

    hard starting...after all these years

... after 130,000 miles of faithful service, the last 37,000 with me, my '93 is finally showing some signs of 'age'. For the last week or so, every morning's start has been difficult, requiring several seconds of key'd starter engagement to get it to run. Blows some white smoke until it fires...

    FSM quick scan

Folks, I need the FSM schymatic for the computer plug on a 91 CTD. Apparantly there are some differences between a 91 (IC'd) and 93, and I need to determine what they are. If someone has a 91 FSM, and a scanner, if I could get a scan of just the computer plug page I'd be most grateful...

    A-518 in-line thermo sensor

on an A-518 and 727, the beginning transmission cooler line comes out of the forward port on the case, makes a 90* turn, goes a couple inches and makes another 90* turn, then over and up to the heat exchanger. Between those two first 90* turns is a bung welded onto the line itself, and a thermo sensor...
