Can a wax motor KSB be 'replaced' by a solenoid type KSB? I have the option of using either an early (non-IC) or late (IC) ve44 for my tugboat. I'd like to use the early one for the additional fuel and timing merits, but I don't want to use the early wax motor KSB because of how it is...

- got about 20k miles on 'em - not a thing wrong. They easily pushed the 'gate at 40 psi on a healthy fuel tune, and I still got 20 mpg (empty). Pulled like a freight train, and blew clean at 25 psi under load. And yes... they'll easily generate a big honkin black cloud if ya wanna :-laf...
