Serviced the ‘18 today. A few notes.

A basic and easy oil change along with a front drive shaft greasing. Not to start a debate, but the “through the fender wheel well” method works quick and easy for me. The Geno’s oil filter cap makes this pretty easy and clean. The only downside is I prefer to change the oil hot, therefore the...

    Mice!!!

Today I found my battery thermal pads were eaten up by rodents. My truck sits outside the unfortunately. It won’t fit in my garage due to size and the amount of “stuff” in there. What have you guys used as a repellent under the hood that you know works? I’m thinking about some peppermint oil...

Where to find some electrical connections?

Gentlemen, I’m looking to install some lights along my step bars. It has entry lights, marker lights, and turn signals. Would anyone know where I might be able to pick all of these up without causing CAN or any other issues? I know I can pick up both turn signals and running lights from the...

    Happy Independence Day

Happy Birthday America!!! I hope you, your family and friends are able to celebrate and remember why this day is so sacred to America. Have a happy and safe holiday folks!

    Wow....this is crazy.

Would you tow this in this manner? Crazy driver and his seriously overloaded and unsecured trailers.

One of the best accessories I’ve ever added.

Gentlemen, I feel as though this is probably the best item I’ve ever added to any of my trucks I’ve owned. I’ve added it to several and it’s well worth the few minutes it takes to install. Cheap and easy. They speak for themselves and I feel they make a great truck even better. ;) You...

Satisfying...a freshly washed and cleaned truck.

There's nothing like spending a few hours washing and detailing your ride. Listening to some tunes, have a few barley pops, and seeing your results right in front of you. I don't know about you, but this is a chore I enjoy every so often. ....almost enjoyed washing and cleaning the wife's car...

    Dark mode?

Can y'all look into enabling dark mode? I'm a member on several other Xenforo sites that have dark mode enabled and its just so much easier on my eyes than all the white coming from my huge monitors when on TDR. If not, it's ok, but I appreciate you looking into it. :)

    Service Electronic Braking System

Truck has just over 5k, in fact rolled over 5k today. Several times now I’ve gotten a quick “Service Electronic Braking System” message along with the associated ABS and traction control lights. As quick as it shows up, it goes away. Today it happened about 5-7 times within a few miles. This has...

    Considering Engine Monitoring Device

I’m looking at the CTS2. It has a nice mount and looks like it’ll monitor lots of stuff. Right now my truck is stock with no performance upgrades and have no desire to do any in the future as well. What do you use? Do you like it? Pros and cons? Would you recommend what you are using?

New ads blocking upper toolbar on mobile browser

There’s a new ad that covers the top toolbar that has to be manually moved using the arrow. This causes me to click on the ad on several occasions. Not only is that annoying, but it’s a nasty hassle to get back to where I want to navigate at times. I’ll have to turn my phone to landscape mode so...

BD 2 Low Unloc kit installed on ‘18 w/bucket seats

So I ordered a BD 2 Low Unloc kit. This allows you to use low range on your four wheel drive transfer case without having the front wheels driven. This is a massive advantage if you need to maneuver a heavily loaded trailer or be heavily loaded, use the extra torque and slower speed, all while...

    Geno's Garage to the rescue!

I love these guys. They vet everything they sell and sell for a decent price. It's a one-stop-shop for any CTD. Gotta love them. Then they offer an additional discount for vets now. How cool is that! I haven't bought anything from them in years because I had such a stockpile of filters for my...

    What’s making you smile today?

Well, I can’t help bu grin from ear to ear every time I slip behind the wheel of this awesome rig. But today I decided to have a beer. It also brought a smile to my face. The other day, it was some simple time out on the porch with a good smoke and a beer. What made you smile today?

    Ceramic paint coatings?

I know the latest TDR came out with an article for ceramic paint coatings, but I wanted to find out what y’alls experiences have been. I’m hungry for more information. Since I can’t take my new dually to the car wash, I’ve had to spend a few hours washing animal slobber and road dirt off my...

Potential new gooseneck equipment trailer. Help me option it.

I'm really looking at purchasing a new GN trailer here in a few months. I will probably order it and pick it up late winter I'm guessing. So I've narrowed it down to DiamondC and probably their FMAX212SS I'm going to get the 12' hydraulic dovetail and either 18' or 20' deck for an overall...

Who makes the 4th gen OEM nerf bars?

I'm having a very difficult time finding a set of good nerf bars for my 2018 crew cab long bed dually. It's silver in color and has some chrome on it. I really like the factory chrome nerf bars I had on my 2017 2500, but the dealers can't seem to get them or want about double what they should...

    6 month oil change?

Not new to Cummins or Ram, but picked up an ‘18 HO Cummins. Read the OM supplement and found out the minimum oil change interval is 15k miles, 500 hours engine time, or 6 months. Wow! 6 months?!? That seems insane. My new truck won’t be doing any crazy miles or hours. So to change the oil...

    Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) Sound Clip of 12v starting

Does anyone know where I can get a sound clip of a 12v starting? I had one for my ring tone and my laptop (windows starting) but I managed to lose it and can not find it again  I would like a sound clip recorded just of a normal 12v starting up and idling for a few seconds. Can...

Archived New Auto transmission, new LOUD noise at 1000 Rpm or lower!

Installed new freshly overhauled 47rh w/billet input shaft, triple disk converter, and new billet flex-plate. Now my 12v sounds alot louder at 1000 RPM and below. After the r's climb the noise dissapears and it sounds normal. Is this normal with a new flexplate? Or is it my new transmission? It...
