Crude oil, pump prices too high?

Well, here's who we can thank: stephen schork oil prices "artificially high" thanks to wall st. speculators: Tech Ticker, Yahoo! Finance And remember - MANY of those speculators are financial institutions, using various bailout funds (TAXPAYER $$$!) to finance their speculation, funds...

    TDR board about to crash?

All other websites seem normal, but today, TDR has been EXTREMELY slow and erratic, pretty much as other past times immediately prior to disaster. . Is history about to be repeated?

Replacement RV ceiling light replacement lenses?

I need a good online source for some replacement ceiling light lenses/covers for some of my fixtures - the old square snap-in type commonly used in RVs thru the 80's and 90's - they are fairly common in the better equipped RV supply stores, but nearly impossible to locate online - at least in...

    Let there be LIGHT!

Having recently purchased an "Oldie-but-goodie" '88 27 foot Winnebago MH on a GM chassis, I been sorta busy restoring various areas and items back at least somewhere near what they were originally. Most of the heavier duty stuff has been accomplished, so I decided to work on the illumination...

AH - so you say your RV refrigerator is bad eh?

WELL, so was mine... The older,'88 Winnebago we just bought was in great shape - at least all we could see and realistically verify on inspection - the refrigerator was represented as in "good condition", and since all the other seller representations seem truthful, we accepted his word on...

LCD monitor, plus outboard TV tuner for RV?

The older MH we just bought, was set up for and included a 13 inch analog color TV in a overhead cabinet above/between the driver/passenger seats. The cabinet space is inadequate for any TV device I'd want to install, but wonder if anyone has installed a flat panel LCD (type used in PC...

    GM 454 power/MPG issues

My last MH was quite some time back, a '76 or so 22 ft. Winnebago on a dodge chassis, with a 440 engine - gobs of power, but MPG sucked at 5. 5 MPG max - and now, the latest: Just bought a clean 27 foot '88 Winnebago Super Chief with 58K miles on the clock. All in all in great shape both...

    Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Part # list for various year PCM's?

Seems Like some time back, there was a pointer on here to a website that provided Dodge/Cummins part # listings for various year PCM's and ECM'S. I have obtained a used PCM off Ebay that was represented as out of a '01 manual transmission truck, I plan to simply set it aside as a spare for the OEM one...

    Motorhome U-joint question

It's like this: We have just bought an '88 Winnebago MH on a GM platform, 58K miles, gasser 454 engine, engine, transmission (TH400, apparently?) are all in great shape consistent with the relatively low mileage for a 20 year old unit - it's a 27 footer, by the way. We are now considering a trip...

    TH-400 in MH service?

Since we look to be getting a 27 foot Winnebago MH next week - if all works out - I'm sorta curious as to the track record of the older GM ('88) versions of the TH-400 auto trannies. These are supposed to be a slightly heavier version than the units commonly used in lighter GM vehicles - and...

JEEZE - WHAT do those oil analysis categories MEAN?

Some guys, new to oil analysis, are baffled by some of the terms and numbers seen on their analysis reports - Chromium is high - what does it mean, and where typically (for instance) does Chromium come from in an engine? Here a decent explanation, lifted from over on BITOG:

More "Domino Effect" - and still more to come!

The ripples of our failed and failing automotive industry continues: Auto parts maker Lear Corp. files for Chapter 11 - Yahoo! Finance Maybe a good investment today, would be auto salvage yards - they could well be the only "Auto Parts" outlets of the future - sorta like in Cuba...

Diesel oil in a gasser? Who's doing it, what results?

Yeah, this has probably been kicked around here before - and appropriate pointers here or elsewhere are welcome - Wayne-Amsoilman, like to see your comments. It's like this - we just bought a used motorhome with a GM 454 big block gas engine, and as with my Dodge/Cummins, I want the best...

    '89 Gulfstream class C MH?

Anyone here with pretty direct experience with an '89 or so Gulfstream class C motorhome - Ford chassis - and (sigh!) 460 V8 drivetrain - it's 24 footer with a rear bed in addition to the usual overhead above the driver. We're sorta looking for something like this so we can pull our fishing boat...

    2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Fuel MPG?

Sorta curious as to what MPG others are seeing with their later 2nd generation trucks - 24 valvers especially? Just returned from a 1500 mile round trip down to California and back - checked MPG from Reno on back here to home in the John Day Oregon area - and got just a nudge better than 23 MPG...
