    Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Special ODB II code reader needed?

    I have a code reader, but it appears not to be able to communicate with my 2nd gen truck. I have tried the reader on my Jeep and the car and it works fine, do I need a different one for the Dodge? Thanks, H

    Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Second Gen use a special ODB II?

    Have an ODB II code checker that seems to work fine on my Jeep and my car but when I use it on the truck, it comes back with "No Link". I got the checker at Harbor Freight, do I need a special one to check the codes in my 98. 5, 24V?
