    Towed heavy up Vantage Pass...twice!

Is that on the east or west side of the hill? I've pulled from SF up to Sonora but not down the other side.

    Daytime Running Lights

An easy work around is to find a small lotion cap or something similar and put it over the little dome in the center of your dash. Then move the light switch over to automatic.

2012 Ram 3500 How do I pull the center console

Assuming the 2012 and 2010"s are the same (and I believe they are), there are two screws on top in that little tray. Pull up the rubber bottom and undo those. Then, gently pull the plastic trip off around the AC outlet. There is another screw under that. Once you've done that, a gentle pull on...

    Mopar Step bars

I'm gonna check mine when I get home. I ordered them with my truck and I hate them. They either need to come down or out and inch or two but the suck where they are. I hope mine are rusted... .

    Towing Break in?

You can't come to an argument like this with reasoning and factual information, it's simply not allowed.

    Towing Break in?

Harvey, And I don't mean to hijack this thread..... What is it about these engines that won't let them overheat? I was just at a campground near Disneyland and ran into a group from Canada that had about 6 Rams. We were talking about towing in the summer etc. and they were saying the same...

    Towing Break in?

I think Harvey is right. I remember reading the Dodge (er, RAM) manual that says to avoid towing for the first 500 miles. However, the Cummins manual says towing right away is better for break in. My thought on this is that these same engines are used on Class A motor homes, Boats and...

    6.7 Overheating!?

I just pulled 10k over the Grapevine at freeway speed and never saw 210*. I think 204 was the max. I'm really impressed with this thing.

    O-2 Sensor Failed

This might be of interest.... Allpar - the hidden Chrysler, Dodge, etc. emissions warranties The 5/100,000 should cover this especially if it's smog related.

    O-2 Sensor Failed

Why was it not covered under the 100k warranty?

    Side steps...

That's what I was thinking I have some heavey steel I'm going to experiment with. I'll document and post my project.

2010 laramie tow mirror amber leds

Shouldn't that be covered by the warranty?

    Side steps...

All, I have the stock (or factory installed) side steps on my 2010 and I assume they are exactly the same on the MY11/12. I am really unhappy with them, as it seems you can only get your toes on them in regular shoes. I think they either need to come out farther or down a little so you...

    OEM Trailer Brake Controller

Well I completely believe you as you've got plenty of experience with them but I would have a hard time rationalizing that in my head. Just your description of it above makes the hair on my neck stand up. It just seems like you'd get air in the lines... . I jumped over to their website and had...

    OEM Trailer Brake Controller

Are you saying you don't have to bleed the brake lines after this?

    Tire Chains-AGAIN!

The chain requirements in Calif (yes, we do have snow here in some parts), it requires the rear tires to be chained when towing. I know you didn't ask about CA but it might be helpful in your decision making process.

    OEM Trailer Brake Controller

I'm at 10. Gotta say I don't tow enough to justify replacing my stock controller but I would if I towed a lot. It's nothing like the stock one I had on my 2006 Ford (that was integrated into the brake line the same way the Max Brake is). The Dodge controller is made by Continental as is the...

    Laramie Headliner

I have the 3. 73 and I have to be honest, I wish I'd have got the 4. 10. I've NEVER had trouble pulling it anyplace (the hardest I've done is Highway 17 to Santa Cruz). And maybe it's all in my mind, but I Kind wish it had more off the line empty and had the heavier capability as we are...

    Laramie Headliner

It does have some cloth headliner though I'm not sure it's padded. Mine has a spot where it was cut a bit short over the drivers head.

    Dave Smith Motors

+1 I'm not slamming them in any way, shape or form and would recommend them from what I read here. However, when I called them re my 2010, there was no benefit to buy from them. I got the same deal from my local dealer. Costco is your friend!
