I've got an NV5600 with 4. 10s, so I always need to shift halfway thought a turn from a stop; it doesn't really bother me anymore, I guess I'm just used to it, though.
But I do notice that I slip the clutch a lot more starting in 3rd than 2nd.
Bleach will soften rubber (some spray it on their tires to add smoke to burnouts... . whatever), I don't know if it affects all kinds or just the compounds in tires, but it might be something to watch out for.
With a stock fuel delivery system, you won't push over 15psi. If you have an aftermarket fuel pump (eg. Walbro, FASS, AirDog, etc... . ), you'll probably be in the low 20psi range.
After today's nightmare doing front brakes, I'm thinking my truck may be at the bottom of the river by the end of the weekend.
No problems today with the engine, and everything seems normal... . I'd like to get my Comp upgraded because of the cold weather, so I'll try to look into that this...
Well I only turned 21 yesterday (told you I didn't want VP problems this week), so "Christine" is more from the time of the dinosaurs/my parents. Maybe I'll rent it one of these days.
Anyway, I was driving around after work, seeing if anything would happen. I was at operating temp, and I left...
Sorry for my ignorance, but how do I go about getting mine upgraded to v10. 8? I've got v8 right now, and have been having problems with it lately, especially in the cold weather.
I only bought the box a couple of months ago, so it should still be under Edge's one year warranty.
Icman95: "Christine" was before my time, but I Googled it, and I swear my truck is related somehow. Must be a distant relation (it hasn't tried killing me yet), but some days it feels like it has taken over my life, and I swear it can tell when I have money - something breaks!
I'm really hoping it was just as isolated thing and I can blame it on my Comp not liking the cold weather.
The odd thing is that it was off (I normally drive with it on 1x or 2x). I donno.
No codes were set, but I'm getting a little closer every day to sending in my Comp and telling Edge for...
So I was driving back from work tonight, and my truck was suddenly possessed. My first thought was "Oh F***!!!! Runaway!" but it didn't happen. Didn't happen again, and I'm still scratching my head.
Situation: Engine was warm (just about operating temp); Comp was turned OFF. I don't have...
Back to the top for 2007.
It's after Thanksgiving, so in the great American spirit of maximum commercialization, it's now Christmas season.
Merry Christmas, everyone.
I'd think you should be able to (never had to do it myself). Pry off the black plastic on the dash (like if you were going to remove the radio), and there's a handful of screws that hold on the plastic that covers the gauges.
The dealer might have it, or you could probably take it to a glass...
I've been toying with the idea of adding an in-bed tank... . does anyone have any experiences with them and stacks? I don't think they'd get too hot, but I'm not sure.
Geno's has them. I don't run any sort of quick-drain plug (just their upgraded magnetic one), but it looks like the Fumoto plug hangs down way below the pan, compared to the EZ Change plugs.
Granted, the Fumoto is about half the cost, but I wouldn't want it hanging down like that, even if I...
Aren't the T444E's the International version of the 7. 3 Powerstroke?
My boss at my old job used to have one, and just about every school bus back home uses/d them.
I think TheDieselStop. Com - www.thedieselstop.com might have more info on them.
