    steering knuckle bushing

Sounds more like a wheel balance / bent wheel issue. Run your wheels on a road-force balancing machine if there is a company around that has one. I ran my tires on the machine at work and found that my front left wheel is badly bent. It showed 166lbs of road-force. My whole truck shakes at...

    Miles on Serpentine?

Small cracks in a serpentine belt are OK as long as they are all across the width of the belt. It's when you see cracks along the length of the belt, fraying, or chunks missing that it's time to replace it.

    Air Intake Kit's

Yes, I see that now. However there is no info about any 1st gen intake under the "Products" tab. It does say intakes for 1989-2006 in the title but then only gives information and pictures of 1994 and up intake systems.

    Which 4 inch exhaust?

How does Stan's 4" Exhaust fit with an automatic? Does it clear the auto trans dipstick and the trans heat exchanger?

    Hello all!!!!

Hi Leper. I'm new to this website too. It seems to be a great place to find the answers to your questions. I just bought a truck very similar to your's. Is your's an extended cab LE package? I've been curious recently if I got a good deal on my truck. If you don't mind sharing, what did you pay...

    Air Intake Kit's

I agree. Before I joined TDR I had done many searches on google for a intake for my truck. During those searches, I remember going to PDR's website and moving on after seeing no listing for a 1st gen intake. Of course, after I joined TDR I realized that they do in fact sell intakes for my truck...

Is my cummins up to par for a stock motor?

What's the easiest way of telling of an injection pump is getting weak? I'd love to work on my own truck. I'm a mechanic by trade but not a diesel mechanic. Diagnosing things on this engine is a bit' frustrating without any any experience working on diesels. I was referred to this website by...

Is my cummins up to par for a stock motor?

Well see that's the thing - I'm not sure if there really are any "symptoms" because I'm not sure what this truck is supposed to be like stock. But I'll tell you this - It's seems to me as if the engine won't rev as much as it should. It just starts pulling and you feel it cut off as if the fuel...

Is my cummins up to par for a stock motor?

Hello. I recently bought a 93 CTD D350 Dually / Automatic / 3. 55 Rear. Is there any way any of you can think of to measure my truck's performace compared to another truck of this vintage (IE: Stock Rated Power)? I'm just not sure if the engine is producing enough power as it's supposed to be...

    New Member & New Truck

Thank you. I've already done as you said and checked the truck over for safety related items. The truck had brand new brakes front and rear when I bought it including new rotors, drums, and calipers. Theres only one small section of brake line out back that is questionable in my mind and I will...

    New Member & New Truck

Thank you. Checking the rear hub/axle bearings was actually on my list of things to do soon. The carrier bearings have already been checked for play. All seems tight within the rear housing. I'm assuming these are both common areas that go bad on these trucks? I've owned and still own plenty of...
