I'll have a look at that. Thanks

    Higher than normal engine temps

Recently I had a water pump failure and lost a fair amount of coolant before I discovered the problem. Temps got to 225 on the way back from Carson City. I live about seventy miles away. So I did the water pump replacement and and replaced as much coolant as I could get to drain out being...

    TPMS Receiver location

I have a 2008 Ram Quadcab 4x4 and I'm looking for the receiver for the sensors in the wheels. Are there more than one? I had al the wheel sensors replaced but I still get a low pressure message. I searched the topic but couldn't find an answer relating to my model year. It doesn't seem to...

    P0471 exhaust pressure code.

Thanks for the reply. I'm still trying to clear the orifice without making things worse.

    P0471 exhaust pressure code.

Hi Bob, Thanks for the reply, do you happen to know the size of the orifice in the water outlet that passes through to the tube? Mine is plugged and I'd like to try clearing it out with a bit in a pen vice. Once I get all the way through I can probably finish up with a tip cleaner from my torch.

    P0471 exhaust pressure code.

P0471 is popping up twice now in about three weeks. I recently had the EGR cooler flushed and EGR valve cleaned. The truck is performing normally with plenty of power. The code is easily cleared with my Edge monitor. Has anyone encountered this issue yet. My truck is an 08 with the 68RFE and...

    Intermittent key fob function

Thanks for the info. That explains why I can hear a click behind the dash on those occasions when the key fob actually works from inside the truck. This warrants more investigation.

    Intermittent key fob function

Thanks Dan, I put the boards in a board vice and used the magnifier to examine them and there are no broken solder joints. I did discover that the panic button works every time on the old keys. No response from the new. I'm also told that some keys have an identical board but the frequencies are...

    Intermittent key fob function

I did the same as Dan, bought keys online all though my locksmith didn't complain. He doesn't sell them. I was able to get the key to run the truck but the door buttons on the new keys have no effect.

    Intermittent key fob function

Thanks guys, Yes I did change batteries first thing but that didn't change anything. I also didn't get the expected responses during programming.

    Intermittent key fob function

I thought my Key Fobs were worn out, they're the OEM that came with the truck . Attempts to replace them met with mixed results. I ended up with keys that would start and run the truck but not unlock or lock the doors. My existing fobs may work great one day and not at all the next . I'm...

    Ignition Key

I must have gotten stuck with bad or incorrect transmitters.

    Ignition Key

Do your unlock and lock buttons work? I did the same and my replacement key will start and run the truck but the fob won't open or lock the doors.

Time to replace my RAQ in my 2008 2500

I searched this topic and didn't find much except U-connect and satellite issues. The time has come to dump the RAQ and I'm leaning towards a Pioneer AVH 1440 NEX My question is will this unit be compatible with my existing speakers or should I just buy new ones now. It's not so much the price...

    68RFE issue

If you change the valve body yourself, will it drive so you can get somewhere to get the quicklearn done?

    No Oil Pressure

It could be the sender as you suspect. Still; I would attach a mechanical gauge for peace of mind and to compare accuracy of the electronic unit. A wonky oil pump might generate the symptoms you describe but I imagine there would be some accompanying noise.

    PacBrake compression Brake.

The guys that installed it say they've been installing them on 5.9's for quite a while. Although they didn't identify what that meant. The mechanic says the geography of the head as regards the valves is the same in both engines. I don't know if that is true but I couldn't pick out any...

    PacBrake compression Brake.

I was just over at the local independent diesel shop dropping a friend to pick up his 2014 Ford. Sad story there. While there I spied 2006 5.9 with the PacBrake system installed on the head. I was given to understand that it was only for the 6.7 PacBrake's site is not very forthcoming and their...

    Oddball issue I can't figure out...yet anyway...or maybe never...I do that.

Glad you got it sorted. I am not qualified to judge the effects of deletes on the turbo. The E brake seems to thrive from constant usage though, I guess it keeps everything moving in the turbo so there's less chance for carbon to build up.
